Do all Christians truly think that all wiccans/witches are evil?

Do any Christians even know any real ones? They might be surprised to learn that most wiccans/witches are the least evil of any religion.

I don't believe a person is evil because of the religion they follow, even if I believe that religion is not from God. Their actions will make them evil. According to God you cannot serve two masters and are suppose to allow for God's will to be done and that would make witchcraft wrong IMO. I'm not expecting you to agree or change because of my POV though. I respect freedom of religion. I do have a pagan friend. Her belief is her business.

I think generalizations are often not helpful.

There are many Christians who realize that Wiccans are usually not hurtful people. They might think we are misguided in our choice of religion, but they don't count us as evil.

Also, Wicca and witchcraft are not the same thing. Witchcraft is a technique which, like prayer, is used in many religions other than Wicca. Wiccans, who choose to abide by the Wiccan Rede, will generally not use magic for harmful purposes, but there are plenty of witches who are not Wiccans who are under no such constraints.

And on what grounds do you judge us "the least evil of any religion"? That's a pretty bold claim to make, and I'm curious about how you arrived at that conclusion.

In my mind, and this may sound harsh for sure, but who cares if there are good things about any other religion period? I want you to know, and think about the fact that you are a witch... a witch. Could you be in deception to think that being a witch is good? God doesn't want us to be witches, or wizards, or anyone person who dabbles in the occult. It is satanic. Why are you trying to be a witch anyways? Do you not understand that gravity of what you are doing, or are you crazy? I don't know anyone who wants to be a witch without something being wrong with them. LIke I said, i'm sorry for coming off so harsh, but think about it.. you are a witch. I have to be so you understand and wake up.

I'm not into wicca or witchcraft, but am a former christian. It was said that are into word worship, which is true but also many worship their pastor. I'm part American Indian and trying to learn the old ways of their panistic religion and have found that I had been following some of it all my life. Yes, I've been told that I'm going to hell because I walked away from them. My rebuke was, that I'd taught many of them what they know of the religion, because I had been their pastor that they worshiped.

I don't believe that all christians feel this way. I do believe there are some very vocals ones who do though. I also believe there are some they may believe it's true because they've never taken the time to learn about or speak to a Pagan. I do know there are some very good chrisitans who are willing to listen and they know that not all wiccans/witches are evil.

I try to stay away from generalizes as there will always be an exception.

I am Wiccan and actually get along very well with most Christians I know. They know me as a person and know that I'm not evil nor worship any evil being. After all, the devil,Satan, and hell are their creations, not mine. As far as being the "least evil". We are people with strengths and faults like everyone else although we try very hard to Harm None.

As a child I was raised Pentecostal, and I can safely say that YES, everyone I was surrounded with thought of witches as evil, animal slaughtering, demon worshiping freaks. But at the same time, they thought mighty badly of any religion that they did not share, even Catholics! To live & learn :)

I'm a Christian and I don't think wiccans or witches are evil. I think there're kind of cool. I would like to be a witch some day.

I don`t know about being the least evil. I think there are supposed Christians who are evil and those who identify themselves as Wiccan who are evil. The 9/11 terrorists defined themselves as Muslim but I do not feel Mohammed would have approved of their actions that day or identified them as coming from him.

I had a dear friend online I met in a writers group who was Wiccan. He died recently of kidney failure (nothing to do with him being Wiccan -- only sayin). His parents are ill as well and he tried runes and spells to heal them. His local friends had a Wiccan ceremony to wish him well on his path to Summerland where they believe they spend their afterlife. I sort of like the Wiccan greeting Merry Meet and Merry Part and Merry Meet Again.

Those who witnessed Phoenix passing away said he died with a mischievous smile on his face as though he was with the goddess and really having a fabulous time. I love that image and respected him too much to change who he is.

Of course I would love for everyone to experience Christ`s love as I have but I lack the arrogance to think this way is the only way.

My best friend from high school grew up Christian and became Wiccan as a young adult. We had some geographical and emotional distance from one another for many years (and conflict after I got married and she was in my wedding and she saw negative changes in me around that time -- plus she got enmeshed with my sister in law and her boyfriend and I felt put in the middle.)

She is now a poly-Wiccan and I honestly do not care. She only experienced the negative side of Christianity. Unbeknownst to me her mother used Christianity as an excuse for physical abuse -- a literal Bible thumper which looking back does not surprise me as much as I would have thought it would as her mother was a good friend to me after my mom died.

So I do not blame her for not desiring Christianity. I have pointed out to her that rather than worship nature she could worship the creator of nature. We have decided to agree to disagree and that she will cast spells for me and I will pray for her.

So...no. I do not think Wiccans are evil. I could not in good conscience become Wiccan but I think aside from Satanism and any other cults with evil at their core that beliefs turn evil due to human greed and lust for power and not due to any elements of the beliefs themselves.

My husband once in a very blue moon still plays Dungeons and Dragons with his college friends. I do not find this an issue at all -- but I have NO interest in playing. The only way D&D is evil is when humans superimpose their goals and mis-directed imagination on it.

So...no. I do not think you can make any generalization about ALL Christians at all.

    Be well.

In the Christian Faith ,We are taught that any God put brfore our God is a False God!We are also taught that the worship of witchcraft and the practice of their worship is evil.

God says no man(woman)can follow two leaders, you either serve one and despise the other or serve the other and despise the one,Even in your Life You must agree how hard it is to have Two Bosses,Especiaaly if they want two seperate things at the same time.

As a Christain,I am taught not to HATE anyone.I am taught to reconize evil and prevent it from entering into my life...........The Bible is full of examples that tells US(Christian) what to do and when to do it.I also admit that some who carry the cross don't always practice the priciples of Christanity and they cause more harm to my faith than they do to help it,for you can not convince them they are wrong ot were wrong.

Sometimes to answer a Questen on Christainaity a great deal of explanation is needed,I have only touch on a small part here today.I will not Preach to anyone nor will I argue with anyone on this matter.I gave you just the basics,if you want to ask other questens please contact me.Thanx
