Judeo-Christian beliefs, why has the hell concept ever changing?

It's well recorded that the Christian faith has been one of evolution. Not a physical one but one of it's own Doctrines.

One can see early on "hell and damnation" "Savior and believers" evolved slowly by Church doctrines.

Looking at the "Hell" issue it is Well Recorded in Doctrines and biblical text that this was once a place of Cold; even "Satan" was depicted as a blue being residing in the underworld of Ice.

Hell eventualy became a hot place, fire-brimestone and such and all the symbolisms and metaphoric phrases within the bible were apparently used in the literal sense as a weapon of coercion to recruit and maintain membership.

Is this hell metaphoric or is this hell literal fire or ice? Please pick and clarify why so?

If Ice was the first concept ( do your own homework) why is fire, the second so attractive to You...or not...

Update:

And not all "Jews" are those of one faith, many will claim to be "Jews for Jesus" and whom has the power to take the title 'Jew" from another? Those whom win the war write the history. :)

Now, back to the Question...

As everyone else has said, the Christian hell of eternal torment comes from Zoroastrianism and the battle between good and evil -- NOT from Judaism.

Perhaps instead of Judeo-Christian, they should call it Zoro-Christian.

Please take the Judeo out of this concept. Jews never believed in a "hell", and the concepts of Judaism are not at all like those of christianity.

No such thing as a 'judeo-christian' belief.

The two faiths have totally DIFFERENT beliefs.

There is no 'hell' in Judaism.

Judaism and Xianity have nothing in common, and the word "Judeo-Xian" is an oxymoron.

I'd like to add that your nickname is just plain WRONG!!!!
