When Is The Best Time To Have A Baby Shower?

I had my baby shower when I was almost 8 months it is never to early to have a baby shower cause some people can go into labor before 9 month so it is better to it early just in case

I am due on September 18th with a boy and I have the honour of having 2 showers!

My first (organised by my lovely sister-in-law) will be on the 26th of July and my next shower will be on August the 16th (organised by a lady at my church)

Personally, I think that around the 8th month is good as you are not so overly huge and uncomfortable that you cannot enjoy yourself!

Also, allows plenty of time to get things that you haven't recieved.

I had my shower about six weeks before my due date. I think that was good timing because my husband and I were able to go through what we got and still had time and energy to go out and purchase what we still needed. Also, at the time I didn't want to have it too close to my due date because I was worried about the baby coming early (she's late of course :)). I think that whatever you're comfortable with is a good time. I've been to showers that were anywhere from 4 weeks to 8 weeks before the due date.

You should have enough time to return or exchange any unwanted gifts and buy the ones that weren't bought. You also want it early enough in case theres any complications late in your pregnancy or you go into preterm labor... [hopefully you wont, but just in case] I'd say at least a month before you're due. [youll have enough to do in the last month preparing for baby!!] July 26th sounds good but make sure you give everyone enough time to plan and prepare!

Im due on the 17th of September, and Im having mine on the 26th! I dont think its too early, but its also because thats the only time my family from out of town will be here.

As long as you know what the baby is, I dont see any harm in doing it now. If your the type of person who doesnt want to know the sex, well you could do that at anytime. You are pretty close. I would just tell them to get it over with that way when you start your nesting you'll have all your stuff to situate around.

In my family we have the baby shower after the babies born. I don't really know why but that's the way we always have done it. but I would have it in August that way it's not last minute early August is good.

I am due September 6th and I am having my shower on July 26th.

I am having mine at 30 weeks. I don't want to have it too late cause I want to have time to get things washed and in order.

Plus my little girl is already measuring 2 weeks ahead and I am 19 weeks so she could come early.

I told me mom, who is having it for me that I wanted it earlier than later.

I don't think now is too soon.
