why are they called Advent Children on Final Fantasy 7?

'Advent' is probably referring to the reappearance of Sephiroth along with Loz, Kadaaj and Yazoo - the 'Children' of Jenova.

In Christianity, 'Advent' (the arrival) is the Second Coming of Christ; so I suppose it makes sense if in here, it's the return of Sephiroth who once threatened the Planet. (;
