Question about Progesterone?

I am on my first fertility treatment after a miscarriage. I took double Clomid, an injection of HCG and was told to have sex that night and next 2 days because I would ovulate. I had 2 viable eggs, my utererus was in perfect condition on the ultrasound, and my husbands sperm check came back great. So we went out of town and stayed in a hotel and had a great couple of days. So, now I am on progesterone, that I take vaginally either until I get my period or I am about 2 months pregnant. I am having a lot of the same symptoms that I had before when pregnant, like that hungry feeling that doesnt go away, tiredness and a little dizziness. I still have another week before I should test. Does the Progesterone give you these same symptoms, or should I get my hopes up that I am pregnant?

I tookk one called duohaston. Not only it create symptoms but it delay my period. So i truly believe i was pregnant. But three days after i stop it, my period arrived. Yes, it mimics the pregnancy hormone. It also messed my cycle. But that was my case, you never know yours. Good luck.

All of those medications mimic symptoms of pregnancy. When I'm on them, I also get cramping, hunger, nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness, headaches, etc. Don't trust the symptoms, especially at only 7 dpo because the egg hasn't even fully implanted yet (so your body doesn't even know whether or not it is pregnant).

Doesn't mean you aren't pregnant though! With the HCG shot, it's best not to test too early because you can get a false positive (so wait until you are at least 14 days past ovulation to be sure any positive is a real positive).

Good luck and lots of baby dust!!!

Rule of Thumb- NEVER get your hopes up.

Any hormonal treatment, Like the Clomid, HCG or the progesterone can make youe have pregnancy symptoms. especially the HCG cuz that is what your body produces when you are pregnant. Just be patient as hard as that is.

I just completed my first IVF/ICSI and was on the progesterone shots and had sore breast, bloating, tiredness...to name a few! Unfortunally, my IVF was a BFN. I would not totally rely on the symptoms you are having. Having the symptoms can play tricks on your mind, believe me I had my hopes up, only to be let down. You also have to remember that everyone is different, and you just might be pregnant! So, during this 2ww just have fun being possibly pregnant and let your hubby pamper you!!!
