old school ( attitude era wwf ) vs Modern day wwe?
Do you think we as fans aren't as crazy about the pro wrestling today as the fans in the 80s and 90s because pro wrestling nowadays is exposed to our finger tips as oppose to back in the day when the only way one could watch their fav stars on tv. Now
Cena, hhh can't draw as much as guys like rock, austin use to draw in the 90s, not because cena or hhh are any less talented but because cena, hhh are available to us on any given day anytime whether its tv or the computer as oppose to the guys in 90s, once in a week on tv and once in 3 months on ppv

The internet and the over-saturation of WWE on TV has made everybody jaded. We all think we know everything there is to know about the wrestling business and we criticize and complain about everything the WWE does. The old saying holds true, "familiarity breeds contempt". We all know it's "fake" and everything is decided by "the writers". We're all smarter than Vince and "the writers"; we know we can do a better job than any of them.
I started watching wrestling in 1967. We had ONE HOUR of TV wrestling per week; you could also pick up a kayfabe wrestling magazine or two.
The internet and Vince McMahon destroying kayfabe (by admitting to storylines and pre-determined outcomes to matches) ruined the wrestling experience. We all know it's just an "act" and we complain about EVERYTHING.
There are very few of us left who can suspend his/her disbelief, cheer the faces, boo the heels, and just enjoy the shows. Most of us whine and complain incessantly about even the most trivial aspect of the wrestling business. We're all too "smart" to fall for anything the WWE does because it's all an "act" and they suck, every one of them.
Movies and TV programs are all an "act". Strange that they aren't picked apart and complained about to death, as well.
Today's wrestling "fans" don't know HOW to be wrestling fans.

Todays younger fans know too much, compared to when I was a young fan and there was no internet and dirtsheets were only read by people within the business. Todays 12 year old compared to a 1995 12 year old (when I was 12) is much different. Old school all the way. Since so many fans know too much today, it ruins there expectations and they expect more and more each time they watch wrestling, which results in disappointment often.

HMMM.... Modern Day WWE. Its more focused on wreslting. However there was more emphasis on who is holding what title. Back then if you held a title you actually won it and were respected. Now if someone holds a title the wwe is really just trying to support their apparreal or merchandise.
