I need a history buff with some religious perspective?

Every once in a while, I hear something about those of the Muslim community denying the Holacaust, and even wanting it removed from history books.

Wasn't Hilter and some of the Germans who sent millions of Jews to their deaths,?

I can see why the Germans might want to deny it or not deal with it, but how were the Muslims involved? What reason do they have for denying it?

Answer: Many Muslims (but by no means all Muslims) are anti-Israel. They see the Shoah (Holocaust) as an "excuse" for the formation of Israel. If the Holocaust did not happen, then in their minds the State of Israel should not exist.

yea, just putting what i know on norse mythology would probably take 2 or 3 pages on here. you had better get to a library then. no matter that it's "older" information, it is still the same information. the more popular mythologies are probably greek, norse, and egyption. don't forget however, that christianity, buddism, hinduism, islam, and judaeism are usually mythologies as well. the romans had their own religion, way back when, but it was kinda boring. it was a god for every hearth. not colorful at all. through all of their trading with the greek, they began to pick up their religion as well. but they renamed the gods with latin names. that's when you gotta remember when to use zeus, and when to use jupiter then there are a whole lot of other religions that are not nearly so well known. for the greek tales, there is a book by edith hamilton, an awesome collection of pretty much all of the greek stories. for the norse, the problem is that not much was written down. the whole religion was told by mouth, so there are so many different versions of the same story. however, they were written down somewhere around 1400 i think, in iceland. the Eddas and the Sagas were their titles, and that is pretty much the only source of norse religion. H.A.Guerber wrote a nice book on that. it's awesome to look into as much as you can before hand, but you'll be learning it when you get there anyway. i wish i could have gone to school for mythology, but nowhere around here supports anything more than a short class on it.

    Muslims also hate the Jews.

If you want to learn the true history of World War II, read the following books by Herman Wouk:

"Winds of War" and "War and Rememberance"

In the early 1980's a TV mini-series was made based on those books which is available today on DVD and videotape.

Many public libraries have copies you can borrow for free.

There are six episodes in the Winds of War set. I own this set.

There are 12 episodes in the War and Rememberance set. This is on my Christmas list. To get this you have to buy 2 sets. Set 1 contains episodes 1 - 7, Set 2, episdoes 8 - 12.

My local library has both sets on VHS tape. I've seen them many times. Then I purchased the Winds of War set on DVD.

While there is no doubt that Jews, and a number of other minorities, were intensely persecuted during the second World War, there is some interesting debate about the "facts" of the Holocaust. Without a doubt, claiming that the Holocaust did not happen, is viewed as a serious crime against Political Correctness. However, holocaust deniers are quick to point out that taking the accounts of the Holocaust on faith, without any attempt at verification, may be a greater injustice to the Truth.

The muslims who claim the holocaust didn't occur, may be doing so for political reasons, since Israel is primarily Jewish and Zionist. It is these zionists who claim their alledged victimization should free them of any criticism or skepticism, particularly in regard to their (mis-)treatment of the Palestinians, and their demonization of Islam and muslims.

It should be noted, that Jews and Muslims are by no means natural enemies. In many muslim controlled countries, Jews live in relative peace and harmony with the muslim majority. However, in Israel, the pretense of democracy demands that the number of non-jews participating in voting and government, be much smaller than it currently is, and historically has been.

In short, the Zionists of Israel, are trying to do to the indigenous Palestinians, what the white European settlers of America did to the indigenous Native Americans / Indians - throw them off the land, and disempower them, if not wipe them out.

The muslims in the Middle East want to destroy Israel. One of the reasons Israel came into existence is because of the holocaust-so many Jews fled to Israel during and after Hitler's reign of power. So the holocaust gives legitimacy to the existence of Israel. Also, I think they are tired of hearing about the terrible things that happened to the Jews-almost like jealousy-nobody pays attention to us that way.

In 1945, the germans started their genocide of up to 6 million Jews. It was a mass murder, that took place over a few years and was put to an end when western nations stepped in to help. Who cares if the muslims deny it or not, they go around killing people in the name of a jihad that shouldn't even exist. There are pictures and testimonies and plenty of publicity that accounts to its existence. Holocaust is greek for "Sacrifice by fire". God bless...

Because they've got an unreasoning and unending loathing towards Israel.

Despite many backstabbings and oath breaking the Israelis continue to breath.

I believe it has something to do with Mohammed's annoyance at the Jews refuse to swallow his message.

Because originally the Muslims were required to pray towards jerusalem. But it became Mecca after the Jews refused him.

I think because it was such a large scale victimization of the Jews. With the situation now in the Middle East, sympathies for the Jews is not helpful to the Palestinians.

The only reason I know of is the fact most middle eastern countries were allies with the Nazis. I read a documentary about Saddam Hussein talking about his father and grandfather, they were part of a Nazi movement to use middle easterners for killing the Jews. If the war would've continued they were planning on moving the concentration camps to the middle east.

Their reason is because they are a group who has the reputation of being anti-Jew. Not all the individuals are, but many of the extremist groups are. Just like these same groups are anti-USA.
