Computer Help??
Ok, so I hope someone is good with computers so they can maybe try and help me out here.
A couple days ago I turned the monitor off on my Mom's computer before I went to bed. And when I woke up in the morning and pushed the button to turn the monitor on the green light went on. Indicating that the monitor was in fact on, but the screen was still black. I turned the computer off completely and then turn it back on. That worked, the monitor was on, no more black screen.
Well the same thing happened today but turning the power off didn't work this time. I left it off for 5 minutes, didn't work, 10 minutes, didn't work. Almost an hour, STILL didn't work. So now my Mom's monitor is stuck with the black screen.
Have any of you guys had this problem or know of any ways to try and fix it?? Or does the monitor have to go to computer heaven?? lol
Thanks!! =D
I always turn the monitor off at night... so I don't think it would be the graphics card.
I'm not sure how old the monitor is... over 5 years I think.
Cables are all fine, no loose ones.
I unplugged the computer.... it didn't work.
Yeah, I switched the computer on lol.

Did you switch the computer on?

How old is the monitor? Are the cables seated firmly?
Unplug, not just power off, the monitor and the CPU for at least two minutes and then plug them back in and try again.
