Parabola equation?
"Given the focus (0,3) and a point on the parabola (2,5), write the equation of the parabola."
It seems like there would be two parabolas that fit this criteria. Help!

There would be two, one opening up and one opening to the right. The vertex for the one opening up is (0, 5 - √8), right, because it has to be the same distance from (2,5) that (0,3) is but straight down, so you could go from there.
