Isn't fight club full of great philosophy?

TONS! my high school philosophy class had a whole section on fight club

Fight Club has a lot of great messages, but also a lot of bad ones. I understand the concept of the movie but I think that people have a choice in whether they want to be a part of a consumerist society, and it's not someone else's job to force them to live otherwise if they don't want too. By all means show them the other side of things if you want, but people always have a choice, and it's not anybodies place to assume they have the right to force a certain idea upon someone else. I liked the movie, but I thought there were some messages that were not so good, but still a great movie. I just wish people would stop quoting it in debates about morality :P

I'm only going to look up to number 41, since I still plan on watching it. lol So far, I think the order is messed up. I also think some of the songs picked for certain Artists didn't make sense, and some songs shouldn't be on the list. I would like to know who actually voted though. Like if it was straight industry people or the public. Other than that, it's cool to watch and see what the Artist and the people giving commentary have to say about the songs.

I am not a nihilist or anarchist, but I still enjoy Chuck Palahniuk's books.
