Why aren't televisions made with a remote finder?

Just like a telephone has the receiver pager, why can't a tv have a remote pager? I can never find the darn thing!

    Cost is the number one.

    The second one is that unless you have a recharchable remote 9even more cost), your batteries will drain in no time (the remote's receiver needs to be always on!!)

    However, you can buy stand-alone key finders in many electronic stores, which you can easily attach to a remote. After you change the batteries on the finder a couple of times, you usually give up...

    There could be a beam of lazer light from the tv to the remote.

    there is a few style of sensible distant controls that even can downloads your favorites activiites from internet, like looking at television, play xbox, reciever, close each little thing down, etc. it fee about100$ google it

    so true ..they should make all devices that has a remote ..with a finder..even the one for my ac would be nice
