The spot price for silver is in the $29 dollar range so 10 ounces comes to $290. A $60 fee is a little steep so I would look for a bullion dealer in my local area to buy bullion.

There is no silver content in a 1976 quarter. The mint stopped adding silver to quarters in 1963.

The silver was reduced to cladding in 1965 and totally eliminated in 1970.
