Is it legal in Germany for a stewardess to kick a passenger off an airplane?

If so,when & why? Please include source if possible. Thanks in advance!

The ultimate decision to remove someone from the plane belongs to the captain. The flight attendants certainly will have some say in the matter. We have had pilots actually make an unscheduled stop to remove a passenger due to unacceptable behavior. I would think this would apply to all Airlines in all Countries. Since 9/11 behavior on airplanes are monitored more closely and Air Marshals have started flying on random flights. I would suggest to any one to think twice about acting up on a plane. You not only have to worry about the flight crew but there was another incident when a passenger was acting out of control and some of the other passengers held him down and he was arrested when the flight landed.

You are asking a blanket question with no details of any extenuating circumstances. So, my reply in the same vein is YES. The captain has the ultimate authority for this, but if a stew wants a passenger off, she will have a good reason and the captain will back her up. I have had to deal with this in my job as a boarding agent several times. Some of the time I had to get the feds and the local police involved. Lots of paperwork and reports to write. One guy took a swing at me. It will be a long time before he does that again, I hope, for his sake.

You may be lucky you were in Germany, instead of some other places, like Nigeria, where you would have been thrown into the local jail, regardless of your position or circumstances.

I'd say it is legal. if a passenger was drunk and disorderly or intimidating other passengers they can. its alot like pubs they can refuse entry to anyone behaving inappropriately. What was the airline Check out their terms and conditions, at the end of the day it is their plane
