My female cat (who I haven't had neutered yet) managed to get outside while in heat (I know, I know). I don't know if she "got lucky."

My question is this: if she did mate, would the fact she mated switch her heat off? Or, would she remain in that heat episode even if she mated?

My cat is still in heat, it was over three days ago in which she got out of the house. If she did mate, wouldn't she have snapped out of it since the deed was done? The idea she would remain in heat this long after her opportunity makes me think she didn't mate (and I hope not).

I can't tell whether or not this girl I'm interested in is playing hard to get, or if she isn't interested.

Pertinent Details:

-Met in college class

-Roughly a week ago, she started giving me practically every known sign (body language) of being attracted to me: staring at me, continuously glancing at me, smiling, body oriented toward me when sitting next to one another, stroke of her neck to look more attractive, playing with her hair (combined w/neck deal), etc.

I started talking to her shortly thereafter. I took it slow. Roughly a week after first initiating contact, I gave her a short note in person, she read and responded as I sat next to her. I stated: "I like you as more than a friend. I am interested in you. I'd like for us to get to know one another. How do you feel? " I wasn't asking her out, just making my stance clear so she wouldn't falsely think I'm not interested, and hoping to ascertain whether or not she felt the same.

I am terrible at the courting process most of the time (except online,I'm rather shy), but excel once its over with; so, that short & to the point note was a very very bold move for me.

Her response (paraphrased): "I am actually talking to someone now, just got out a long term relationship. But, we can DEFINITELY be FRIENDS + get to know one another. Look me up online." She also gave me her phone number, I didn't ask for it.

Before I gave her the note, she mentioned to me she had looked me up online.

I didn't bother to look her up online after she requested I do so in her response to my note. Instead, she looked me up and formally added me herself later that night. Goes to show she must have been thinking of me (and not to mention the fact she had looked me up before knowing for sure I was interested in her).

The negative indicators were obviously the "friend" and "talking to someone else" thing. Do pay attention to the wording with the "friend" comment, I tend to think it matters as it wasn't as firm/harsh as I've heard before, and the whole just got out of long-term relationship. Aside from that, I've only noticed signs of interest. She still looks @ me rather frequently. I can tell she's looking @ me in the corner of her eye pretty often.

Today, as a test, I withdrew a good bit. I didn't pay much attention to her, etc. This could go either way, especially IF this guy is the "talking to guy": she was more "lively" than normal, drawing attention to herself in form of talking/playing around with this other guy in my class (perhaps trying to get me jealous?) I am playing it cool right now. I'm not going to throw myself all over her. I hate these games, if that's what this is; of course, I hate rejection as well, but I'd rather know if I'm LIKELY in a hard to get chase fiesta or more likely was rejected in a romantic sense.

I'd like to understand why she would go on her own w/the online lookup and later online pursuit; why give her phone number off the bat, why give me all the body language signs she's interested (and yes, they were definitely directed toward me), etc if she isn't really interested. I want to know if it sounds like there is a decent chance she is interested in me? I'm sure the long term relationship ending will make her more cautious/hesitant.

Please consider all the details. Please give me an honest and respectful answer. I am very appreciative of any meaningful replies. I know you all don't know with certainty, but once again, you all are in a better position than me considering you're not directly involved. Thank you very much. Take care.

This is all common sense; and I'm surely not the first person to think of this, regardless I want to get it out there.

We can fight the oppression of religion (especially Christianity if you're in America) through logic; but, the true believers have an amazing capability to stare logic in the face and deny/distort it.

Instead of going to Freethinker/Atheist clubs' meetings,etc; or, in addition to going, we should organize Atheist/Freethinker Charity Organizations. Clearly label who we are and our stance on matters; and have Community Services, goodwill missions,etc.

We can shatter the perception we are bad people by doing this; and in the process, beat the Christians at their own game.

We actually could take the higher moral ground (in the eyes of the onlooker) because we wouldn't be trying to get people to come to some meeting,much less an organization, especially one where we would collect money.

Miracles are a theme in the Christian religion, I know since I was raised as a Christian. They happen all the time, things Science cannot possibly explain. The blind regain sight, the lame speak, the crippled walk, all of these are miracles according to Christians, the work of Jesus, impossible things happening due to the power of God.

Why then are Amputees ALWAYS excluded from these miracles!? We know for a fact the limb/whatever will never grow back, it has never happened. Why does Jesus not "cure" Amputees? The strange rationalization consisting of "well, humans created prosthetics, and they did through the gifts/power that Jesus gave them" WILL NOT PASS, it is Science that created prosthetics; and they are not divine miracles, please do not try to use that cop out. Please explain to me, Christians, is this discrimination by God?

WHY AREN'T AMPUTEES CURED! Why doesn't Jesus/God/Holy Spirit allow them to wake up with a new arm/leg/whatever one day!? You can't explain it rationally, so here we go! He's the bringer of death to all Israelites/the world(sarcasm), as our media/government tells us. Please explain to me why he should not be allowed to pay respect @ the very place many of our current problems manifested themselves. It is ridiculous.

We look like/are the bad guys (to the rest of the world) in this instance. Please explain, with logic, why he should be banned from paying respect (even if false to his heart, though I doubt that) to those that died on 9/11/01. I have the distinct feeling of being on the losing team, being on the "wrong" side in this instance. This event makes us look like a$$holes to the rest of the world. Please tell me why we're right in doing such a thing.

Here's my situation. I met a girl in college that I just connected with. The type of person that just clicks with me. She's an awesome girl. I got the vibe that she was attracted to me, we hung out, blah blah, when I made it more obvious I was attracted to her, she told me she has a boyfriend (to make it worse he goes to West Point-talk about competition!), after she had given me signals that she was interested.

She was nice in her rejection of me. She told me she wasn't good with guys, and she's had this problem before. I figure it was mostly true; but I know as well as one can that she was attracted to me.

Question-Do you think she was challenging me by telling me she had a boyfriend as I was moving in? The type of thing where I've got to proclaim my love for her and win her over? Sheer honesty? I didn't do anything, I respected what she told me. I really like her, but at the same time I don't want to try to wreck her relationship, I simply like her too much...

Originally, the portable apple multimedia products were rather superior to all competition; however, I think now they are inferior, which is why I am so annoyed to see people camping out and cheering as they acquire their cool iphone.

I personally think all that nonsense would be more understandable if the product were unquestionably superior to the competition. Anyways, who feels like I feel regarding this?

I am awaiting the 8gb clix, I have heard so many conflicting rumors about its release date in America. Iriver was on vacation and had hinted that the 8gb will be released August; on the other hand I have heard September; and of course it was originally supposed to be out this past July. They have refused in the past to allow their material to be used on the music simulating games such as guitar hero. So yeah, if anyone knows if Zeppelin may be allowing their music on any of the upcoming games, please let me know.

There is "guitar hero 3" and "rock band" coming out soon, and being a zep fan+ a gamer I'd love to play their songs more than what is currently offered. I haven't purchased any of those games yet because I figure it is really expensive to take a shortcut that doesn't get me close enough to where I want to go.

I saw this movie when I was a young child,I don't remember the name. The movie begins with a man being executed in medieval time. He is forced to wear something on his head, I believe a helmet. He is killed and blood is shown leaking out of his helmet. He is a werewolf. Significantly later in time, he rises from the grave. I believe he goes on to live with a woman after rising from the dead, long after everyone that knew of his being a werewolf were dead themselves. I think he was a knight, some type of nobility. There is also a female vampire in this movie. She and the werewolf fight as I recall. I can't remember much of anything else. I appreciate anyone's help. Thanks!

I want to add a cold air intake to my car. It has a 7 year powertrain warranty. It is a 2006 pontiac g6 coupe. I am worried if I were to add the intake, it would void my warranty. Does anyone know if my warranty would still be good should I add the intake? Thank you.

The Republican party has been hijacked by the Religious Right, bent on establishing a Christian theocracy in America.The majority of our citizens oppose a war, yet most will do nothing to actively try to stop it. We spend more taxpayers money on other nations than our own(think of Hurricane Katrina,our response to the Philippines landslide,etc).

Also, in the aftermath of Katrina, we had armed Blackwater mercenaries on the streets of New Orleans with automatic guns. The disproportion of wealth in this country is astonishing (1% of population holds 90% of the nation's wealth).

I fear our fate is tied with that of the Ancient Roman Republic, though we may not officially become an Empire, we may become an authoritarian establishment should we endure great instability and hardship(terrorist attack,etc). The Religious Right worries me the most, they have unprecedented power in America. It is easy to write them off without taking history into account.What is to stop them from ruining us?
