What should I do when my bosses do not share my values???

Hey everyone.I need some advice.I'm 18 and I work as an interpreter-receptionist-animator (in short- sunshine girl who always helps)in a private residence by the seaside.Almost all our guests/apartment owners come from other countries much richer than mine.My bosses have no respect to them,it is as if all they want is to take their money away from them. This simply does not suit me,I started this job for the experience and for the new people I would meet and I am really dedicated at work. But my bosses are two-faced,they smile to people and then when they are gone they call them names.I do not think that this is right, these owners have the right to ask us to do some service and in my view it is our job to serve them the best possible way without complaining. The reason why I do not intend to quit is that I met so many new people here and made new friendships. But how should I deal with my bosses, any ideas???This is absurd-I'm a worer of theirs and I understand how the job shoud be done

Update:

and they do not.For example today my boss gave a client of ours an electricity bill and the man wanted to know how the calculations were made and after he didn't understand what we explained to him,she threw her notebook away and left saying"It's all your problem".OMG!!! I found information about that on the I-net in English and wanted to give it to our client but she didn't let me.I do not how to tolerate the behaviour of my bosses, one moment they smile, who knows what they are talking about you.Any advice???

Welcome to the luxury service industry. I think the proprietors of such businesses are often jaded in the way that you describe. Your bosses may be good people in general. But, these bosses are jealous of their clients' wealth and resentful of being subservient to them. So, they develop a perception of their clients that helps them justify their desire to make as much money as possible in spite of common decency.

If you truly do not want to quit your job because of the new people you've befriended, I'd suggest that you simply feel sorry for your bosses (silently!) and focus on the good people with whom you work. Your boss' negativity just eats away at them on the inside. And, sooner or later, their two-faced ways will get them in trouble in some way.

LOTS of people are like this. I have bosses curse about other co-workers etc. I'm not that sort of person. I put up with it because I need a job. How long will you have this job? If it's just a summer job enjoy the sea, sun & ignore the rest. There are a TON of rude people in the world unfortunately.

You can simply continue to be your sunny self and maybe your boss will see that and change their behavior but I wouldn't hold my breath. When you witness your boss treating other people badly grit your teeth. I wouldn't quit-it sounds like a nice job otherwise.

You need to make a decision on how much these people and this job mean to you and if it is worth the stress. The owners are not going to change and there is nothing you can do about that. If you can accept that and still work under those conditions, then stick with it and try to ignore the bigotry as much as you can.

You can either make yourself sick or quit. I have been in the same position too many times to count. The job ins't worth the stress & the friends will still be your friends.

When you face situations that you cannot change, then you are the one who has to effect the change. They will continue to abuse and harass their customers, you disagree with that (which I commend you for) but you really do need to move on. You will continue to be miserable there, having a front row seat at the abuse and being powerless to stop it, so it is timer for you to move on.
