If you take it to a dealer you will be charged $320 - $550. They like to do a "service" which means they "check" this and that. Mainly they look at the radiator water, the battery connectors and the brake fluid. It's about a half hours work. You can do it yourself pretty easily and should anyway, never trust a stranger.

Jiffy Lube will do a proper job changing you oil.

If you live near Jacksonville, FL email me for the name of a very honest and professional shop that does great work on MB's BMW's VW's and just about anything else.

You can change the oil yourself very easily. Use ONLY Mobil 1 0w-30. Do not use anything else. This oil available at WalMart or Advance for about $24 for 5 qt bottle. The filter can be gotten at Advance or Auto Zone for $15. It's a special filter and does not have a metal case. It's an element that goes in a housing on the top of the engine.

Changing oil is a 20 minute operation at most. The oil filter is on top and very easy to get at and will not leak oil all over your arm, face, the suspension and motor mounts like a Japanese car will.

While you're at it put in a K&N air filter. My E used to get 28-30 mpg highway and 22 city. It now gets 34 highway and 25 city after the K&N.

You need to buy 2,one for each side.

The K&N pays for itself very quickly.

Depends on the year and model,,,,if it's less than 10 years old take it to the dealer. A JiffyLube or tire shop is likely to a cheap filter and the wrong grade of oil. You won't notice right away, but in the long run it will destroy your engine.

Take it to the dealer for a $95. oil change special. They'll use a fleece filter and the correct amount of Mobil1 oil.

Depends on the car, year, model, etc. I have a 1992 300SD and I change my own oil. I have changed my own for the past 50+ years, but putting that aside, I would go to the Dealership or a Certified MB Mechanic.

STAY AWAY FROM THE FAST OIL CHANGE FRANCHISES

What? No. Do not go to a dealer for an oil change. It's not like Jiffy Lube or Greasemonkeys isn't going to touch a Mercedes, go to someplace like that. Or do it yourself.

you take it to any oil change place , just make sure they have the oil filter and use good oil..

If still under warranty during your maint. check have dealer do it..
