Mat 1:1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Jer 23:5 "Behold, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "When I shall raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the land.
Jer 23:6 "In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell securely; And this is His name by which He will be called, 'The LORD (YHVH) our righteousness.'
Phil 2:9 Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name (YHVH) which is above every name,
Phil 2:10 that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth,
1 Cor 12:3 Therefore I make known to you, that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord (YHVH)," except by the Holy Spirit.

"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life." - 1 John 5:20 KJV
[And we know that the Son of God is come] We know this by the evidence that John had referred to in this Epistle, 1 John 1:1-4; 5:6-8.
[And hath given us an understanding] Not an "understanding" considered as a faculty of the mind, for religion gives us no new faculties; but he has so instructed us that we do understand the great truths referred to. Compare the notes at Luke 24:45. All the correct KNOWLEDGE which we have of God and his government, is to be traced directly or indirectly to the great Prophet whom God has sent into the world, John 1:4,18; 8:12; 9:5; Heb 1:1-3; Matt 11:27.
[That we may know him that is true] That is, the true God. See the notes at John 17:3.
[And we are in him that is true] That is, we are united to him; we belong to him; we are his friends. This idea is often expressed in the Scriptures by being "in him." It denotes a most intimate union, as IF we were one with him-or were a part of him-as the branch is in the vine, John 15:4,6. The Greek construction is the same as that applied to "the wicked one," 1 John 5:19, en (NT:1722) too (NT:3588) aleethinoo (NT:228).
[This is the true God] This interpretation accords with what we are sure John WOULD affirm respecting the Lord Jesus Christ. Can there be any doubt that he who said, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God;" that he who said, "all things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made;" that he who recorded the declaration of the Saviour, "I and my Father are one," and the declaration of Thomas, "my Lord and my God," would apply to him the appellation "the true God!"
If John did NOT mean to affirm this, he has made use of an expression which was liable to be misunderstood, and which, as facts have shown, would be misconstrued by the great portion of those who might read what he had written; and, moreover, an expression that would lead to the VERY sin against which he endeavors to guard in the next verse-the sin of substituting a creature in the place of God, and rendering to another the honor due to him. The language which he uses is just such as, according to its natural interpretation, would lead people to worship one as the true God who is not the true God, unless the Lord Jesus be divine. For these reasons, it seems to me that the fair interpretation of this passage demands that it should be understood as referring to the Lord Jesus Christ. If so, it is a direct assertion of his divinity, for there could be no higher proof of it than to affirm that he is the true God.
[And eternal life] Having "life in himself," (John 5:26,) and the source and fountain of life to the soul. No more frequent appellation, perhaps, is given to the Saviour by John, than that he is life, and the source of life. Compare John 1:4; 5:26,40; 10:10; 6:33,35,48,51,53,63; 11:25; 14:6; 20:31; 1 John 1:1-2; 5:12.

In the Beginning Jesus Is the Word of God. And the Word of God became flesh & dwelt among us.
He left His position in Heaven as higher than the Angels (God) and came to earth & became one of us, a little lower than the Angels.
Jesus was born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Spirit. So didn't have the sin nature the rest of us are born with. Jesus is the prophecied Seed of the Woman (Gen.3:15). We are born of women but conceived by mans seed.
So He left His heavenly power & authority behind. But Jesus had power & authority on earth, by finding favor with man & God. Because He is the Son of God, Emanuel.
Jesus started His Ministry as the Messiah when he was water baptized by John the baptist. As a human full of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God also. And Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted of the tempter & was tempted like the first Adam, yet without sin. Jesus needed to overcome the serpents deception & to be the Lamb of God without blemish (sin). He was a human in Gods image, like the first Adam. Yet Jesus didn't sin. Jesus was tempted after fasting 40days. But, since He was full of the Holy Ghost, resisted temptation, & was an example for us, when we are tempted today.
The foundation of the Church is Speaking in God given faith, "Jesus, Savior, is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God.". Not that Jesus is God. (I know Jesus is God.) But His ministry of our salvation is as a Man anointed by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus died on the cross & became sin for us. He, Himself, was like the first Adam before the fall. He was innocent Himself. He bore our sins on the cross. When we see Jesus on the cross, He isn't pretty. This is how bad mankinds sins get.
The wages of sin is death, since the fall of the first Adam. And we all are born with the sin nature from the mans seed. Jesus could have sinned in His flesh like the first Adam, but didn't. He overcame the serpent deception & also was a sacrifice for our sins. No other sacrifice will do. He gave His life once & for all. His Human life.
When Jesus died & was put in the tomb. His spiritual soul went to paradise & also to take back the keys from death & hell. And He raised from the dead, since sin & death couldn't keep Jesus in the grave.
After Jesus suffered the shame of the cross for us, died & rose again. Father God highly exalted Him in His resurrected Humanity with the Name above all names. That at the Name of Yeshua (Jesus) every knee should bow & tongue confess, "Yeshua Messiah is Yahweh!" (Jesus Christ is Lord!).
So when Thomas finally saw Jesus & felt his hands & feet, Thomas proclaimed, "My Lord & my God!".
Jesus is now the Name above all names. Since He suffered our sins & became the sacrifice for us, once & for all, He Is our High Priest forever (after the order of Melchizedek). He is our intermediary to God the Father. So anyone who seeks God can receive direction from the Holy Angels. And turn to Jesus who forever makes intercession for us.
In the beginning the Word became flesh. The Word was with God & the Word Is God.
Jesus humanity was a new thing about 2000yrs ago.
Jesus is the Seed of the Woman, the Christ, the Son of God, the Lamb of God without blemish, the Resurrection & the Life.
And so much more. He is the Good Shepherd. He is the Living Bread who came down from heaven. He Is the Alpha & Omega. He Is the Firstfruits. He Is the Passover Lamb. He Is the Lord God. He is the Way, the Truth & the Life. Etc...

>> Can anyone give me some scriptures that prove that Jesus is God ?
Here we have God the Father, Himself, calling Jesus, His Son, "God:"
Heb. 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom."
The above, of course, is a reference to the Old Testament where God, the Father is talking about God, the Son. Pay close attention to the grammar used here:
Psalm 45:6,7 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. (7) You love righteousness, uprightness, and right standing with God and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.
Then, we have the Jews recognizing that Jesus was calling Himself, God, and we have Jesus explicitly stating that He is the Son of God:
John 10:30 "I and my Father are one."
John 10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
John 10:32 Jesus answered them, "Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?"
John 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, "For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God."
John 10:34-36 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, Ye are gods;' (35) If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken; (36) Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, 'Thou blasphemest;' because I said, I am the Son of God?"
Lastly, we also have the assertions of the disciples that Jesus was both God and the Son of God:
John 1:1,14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, "My Lord and my God."
God bless.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
No one else could have taken our place on the cross, except our creator!
His name shall be called Immanuel, . . . God with us." "The light of the knowledge of the glory of God" is seen "in the face of Jesus Christ." From the days of eternity the Lord Jesus Christ was one with the Father; He was "the image of God," the image of His greatness and majesty, "the outshining of His glory." It was to manifest this glory that He came to our world. To this sin-darkened earth He came to reveal the light of God's love,--to be "God with us." Therefore it was prophesied of Him, "His name shall be called Immanuel."
By coming to dwell with us, Jesus was to reveal God both to men and to angels. He was the Word of God,--God's thought made audible. In His prayer for His disciples He says, "I have declared unto them Thy name,"..."merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,"--"that the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them." But not alone for His earth born children was this revelation given. Our little world is the lesson book of the universe. God's wonderful purpose of grace, the mystery of redeeming love, is the theme into which "angels desire to look," and it will be their study throughout endless ages. Both the redeemed and the unfallen beings will find in the cross of Christ their science and their song. It will be seen that the glory shining in the face of Jesus is the glory of self-sacrificing love. In the light from Calvary it will be seen that the law of self-renouncing love is the law of life for earth and heaven; that the love which "seeketh not her own" has its source in the heart of God; and that in the meek and lowly One is manifested the character of Him who dwelleth in the light which no man can approach unto.
In the beginning, God was revealed in all the works of creation. It was Christ that spread the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth. It was His hand that hung the worlds in space, and fashioned the flowers of the field. "His strength setteth fast the mountains." "The sea is His, and He made it." Ps. 65:6; 95:5. It was He that filled the earth with beauty, and the air with song. And upon all things in earth, and air, and sky, He wrote the message of the Father's love.

Jesus is not God.
Both God and Jesus 100% clearly state they are not each other. To anyone who thinks they are, are taught by men and they don't listen to the simple lesson in the bible. Do not listen to men for they will lead you astray.
This is why God himself states " BE GONE! I never knew thee ". On judgment day when the masses ask "but didn't we do your biding and chase demons out in your name?"
Since they followed men and believe Jesus is God and broke many of the laws of the book. God wants nothing to do with them.
Most don't even realize that God himself states not to worship Jesus.
Isaiah 45:20
Assemble yourselves and come;
draw near together,
ye that are escaped of the nations:
they have no knowledge
that set up the wood of their graven image,
and pray unto an el that cannot save.
And this confusion is mainly cause most read the KJV which uses improper words like Lord, King and God. Which are actually human titles, not deity titles.
God himself states over 9 times in the OT alone that He is the only one, the only savior, the only God and that His name is 1.

I am so glad that you asked. But I am of the contrary, sorry but if Jesus is God explain these scripture's out of Luke 2.
VERSE 40: Why would God need the "grace of God was upon him"?Note here in these two verse (John 5:19 and 30) what Jesus said. Here is the grace of God upon Jesus The Son.
John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the (grace of God was upon him).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VERSE 52: How could God "increased in wisdom" and "in favour with" Himself?
Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
LOOKS AS IF THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE SCRIPTURE.
NOTICE:COULD ALL OF YOU WHO GAVE ME A THUMBS DOWN ANSWER MY QUESTION?

Jesus is not God ,he is the son of God. But these have been written down that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that, because of believing you may have life by means of his name. John: 20:31 Who is the one that conquers the world but he who has faith that Jesus is the Son of God. 1John 5:5 Jesus said to her "Your brother will rise". Martha said to him I know he will rise in the resurrection in the last day .Jesus said to her I am the resurrection and the life He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies will come to life, and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this? She said to him "Yes, Lord I have believed that you are the Christ the Son of God, the one coming into the world. John 11:25-27 In answer Peter said " You are the Christ the Son of the living God. Mathew16:16

No. There are 550 places in the New Testament alone that state that God is God & Jesus is Jesus! Truth. Too many people want to disobey the 2nd Commandment and have an Image of God. So anyone that is claiming Jesus is God is in continues sin.
Ex. When Jesus is baptised by John, God said "This is my son". Do you believe that Jesus is a vantwilaquest and lier?
Jesus sits beside God in Heaven, not in God's lap.
Why would Jesus pray to God for hours each day if he was God?
Why would Jesus have needed to be tested against the devil, since God is far more powerful that the devil. And certainly would not get weak if God did not eat for 40 days. God is never weak!
Why would Jesus pray for our forgiveness to God, if he was God?
Think! for Truth!
