Calling about a job.?

I saw an advertisement for a job that lists a persons name, and a contact phone #. The ad does not say "No calls please" Is it a good idea to call, and if so, what is the best thing to say?

Yep - they are expecting you to call in that case. Say "Hello, my name is Zzyxz and I came across the posting for the Poop Inspector position. What is the next step to apply for this position?"

If they put the phone number in the ad, it's probably okay to call. I would call and just say, "Please tell me about the position you have available." They will most likely give you a brief description and then tell you how to send your resume, but if you are lucky, they will set an appointment for an interview.

Thats what u have the contact info for . Call'em up ask what all you wanna ask about the job. The person on the other end was hired for the same purpose.Make him do his job.
