  • Problem with dual monitors with XP not working.?

I had 2 monitors working, but one got fried. I disabled the broken one, and rebooted.

I can not scroll my mouse over to the other monitor which is good. The only problem is one particular program I use tries to open in the no longer existent monitor. Is there a way I can force this to open in the current (and only) monitor?

  • What song is this one (possibly two) hit wonder from the 80's (or early 90's)?

What song is this one (possibly two) hit wonder from the 80's (or early 90's).

It's by a female singer (though may be a band) and she's talking about dancing to the music and/or groove.

    It's not by SNAP.

Sorry I don't have any more information, but this has been driving me nuts!

  • I am having problems connecting to the internet.?

Earlier today my internet connection died. I tried re-booting the modem and the router, and it worked briefly, though extremely slowly.

I called my local (and worthless) tech support #, and was told that it is my router. (D-link 614+) It is hardwired, and not using wireless.

They told me to plug directly into the internet. I tried this, but obviously I don't want to do this for any length of time. Is there anything I can trouble-shoot to make sure that it is my router? I don't want to drop $100 on another one. What could cause a router to suddenly go bad? I have changed no settings in more then a year. Also my firewall came up with about 10 different connections in it. All from different IP addresses, though they all had the same MAC address. What are these?

    Thanks for any help!

  • Losing mail in Microsoft Outlook 2000.?

I had to create a new Pst file due to a corruption problem. However, I forgot about the rules I had set up. Whenever I received a mail that met one of the rules, the message became "lost" I have no clue as to where they went, as the old folders no longer exist. Is there any way to retrieve these messages?

  • Immigrating to canada from the US?

I was thinking of trying to look for work in Canada, but I don't have a visa.

I can score a 67 on the immigration chart (4 year degree, 7 years experience in my field, fluent in English)

However waiting for 12-24 months isn't really an option.

Could a potential employer expedite the process, or could you apply for a short-term visa, while your permanent one is being processed?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Moving to DFW Area?

I am considering relocating to the area for a job in Irving. I'm looking for a home/condo/townhome in the $150-$225K range. The only thing I hate is a long commute. Besides the airport, I've never been to the area before. Where are good places/zip codes to narrow my search?

    Thanks

  • Are these FDCPA violations?

    First some back-story.

I have a small dispute going on with my HOA which got sent to collections. The dispute is a special assessment which I planed on paying in full at the end of the period. There is also a normal assessment which is paid every month on the 24th (Due 7 days latter on the 1st) . Apparently they wanted monthly payments for the special assessment. I pay all of my bills online. The check from 12/24/06 was lost somewhere, and the account was sent to collections.

    Fast forward to 2/07

I received a letter from this agency, and they added on $250 or so in fees, to the back special assessments, and the missing 12/06 payment.

I call them, and was told I would be called back. No call ever came.

I call back in a few days, and was told by the collector she already spoke to me and that she already told me how much was due. I have phone records proving no call from their office came to me.

  • What is the best way to decline a job offer?

I was wondering the best way to turn down a job offer? I applied for it months ago when I was unemployed, and would of gladly taken it then. However now, it is not a good fit. (Neither is my current job, but that's a different story)
