LA37A550P1 vs LA40N81BX Samsung LCD FullHD TV?

Ok, I need advise for the TV, gamers expert. I plan to buy a Full HD TV to compliment my PS3. As I'm restricted to the size of my cabinet (& I don't want to buy new one). These 2 models are the one that fits the cabinet & my budget. The 37" is the 5 series, release just 1/2 mths ago. Spec wise looks better than the 40" & cost me around $1.3k. The 40" is the older series, released last year & cost me around $1.6k.

Questions are:

1. I will be sitting around 2 meters from my TV to my couch, would it make much difference between 37" & 40"?

2. Looking at the cost, is it worth to add $300 for 3" bigger yet older version. The main difference between the 37 & 40 are (15k dynamic contrast vs 10k; 5ms response time vs 8ms; DNIE+ vs DNIE;)

To be honest, it wouldn't make much difference. But some advice would be, if you want to reduce the "lag" when you're playing on your PS3, go for the 5ms response time TV. Obviously the higher the dynamic constrast, the more difference in colour you will see, but really, if you don't look too carefully, you shouldn't be able to notice much difference.

For your distance and size problem, experts recommend that you divide the distance from where you watch TV to your TV by five. That is, if you sit 2 metres from your TV, 40cm would be the recommended height of your TV set. But in the long run, it really is down to personal preference.

    Good luck!
