I check LG & Samsung 2016 line up in US & they don't produce dual voltage TV anymore? strange? how much does it cost them? compare to me buying a converter and turning it off/on? even my 2010 TV has dual voltage.

  • when i delete a table in Ms.Access, why doesn't the file size reduce?

I copy a MS Access file. The size of the file was 300mb. I would then import a new table and once making sure that evrything is ok, I would delete the old table. I was shocked when I saw the file size goes to 1gb. The new table & old table have the same no of columns with relatively the same no of rows. Other objects like query remains unchanged.

Why my file size goes more than double? what should I do?

  • ONKYO TX-SR606 vs Denon AVR-1508?

I have a Denon AVR-1508 that I bought last year & serves me pretty well. Few days ago I saw an offer for ONKYO TX-SR606. Its previous model TX-SR605 was the one that I wanted but was too expensive in my part of the world. I'm planning to buy this offer & sell my Denon but need advice from expert users here. Any advice is welcomed. I'm hoping to chip in $300 from this swap.

  • Hyundai Veracruz vs Kia Borrego/ Mohave?

I'm deciding on these 2 models, price wise they're comparable but I can't make up my mind yet. In my part of the world Hyundai throw in goodies like free laptop while KIA offers 5 yrs unlimited km warranty compared to 3yrs 75k km for Hyundai.

Help by highlighting what you think are best points If you own any of the car, any experience you might have with it would be helpful as well... Thanks

  • LA37A550P1 vs LA40N81BX Samsung LCD FullHD TV?

Ok, I need advise for the TV, gamers expert. I plan to buy a Full HD TV to compliment my PS3. As I'm restricted to the size of my cabinet (& I don't want to buy new one). These 2 models are the one that fits the cabinet & my budget. The 37" is the 5 series, release just 1/2 mths ago. Spec wise looks better than the 40" & cost me around $1.3k. The 40" is the older series, released last year & cost me around $1.6k.

    Questions are:

    1. I will be sitting around 2 meters from my TV to my couch, would it make much difference between 37" & 40"?

    2. Looking at the cost, is it worth to add $300 for 3" bigger yet older version. The main difference between the 37 & 40 are (15k dynamic contrast vs 10k; 5ms response time vs 8ms; DNIE+ vs DNIE;)

  • Marble frying pan?

I plan to buy this marble frying pan that I saw in a TV home shopping channel where this pan would enables you to fry without cooking oil & the food won't stick to the pan in a better way than normal non-stick coating frying pan

I need experience from people who owns or have use it. I'm not a seller of this product, just prospective buyer who want 2nd opinion before settling as the items sold in a package & not that cheap also.

  • Accounting Accruals on Goods reception?

I have my doubt on this issue & is away from my accounting theory books. Here's the thing, Supposed that you have raised a purchase order for an item that is your merchandise inventory to your supplier. At month end, the situation is such that you have actually received the goods BUT the invoice hasn't been received. Because of that reasons, you then accrue the fact that you have increased your inventory & at the same time incurred a commitment to pay. YET, your books is actually in USD and your purchase order is in EUR and the exchange rate is very volatile. Let says that when you accrue for the inventory & the commitment the rate was $1 = 0.8EUR and at month end the rate was $1=0.7EUR (substantial). Since the inventory & payable have been capitalized at a different rate but the payable hasn't been paid, both a/cs should be revalued.... am I Correct and exchange gain/loss for the payable is finalized when the invoice is received & paid and for the inventory when it's sold.

  • When to use hazards lights?

I have driven in many countries and now live in Dubai & was a bit confused about the culture pertaining to the use of hazard lights. There is an accident today (see here http://www.gulfnews.com/nation/Traffic_and_Transpo... and the comment from the police & people mentions about NOT to use of HAZARD LIGHTS?

I mean, let say that I was driving at the speed limit of 120 km/h & then I saw that the traffic in front of me slows down to below the min speed limit, I would certainly turn on my hazard lights, signaling the car behinds me to expect some "hazard" & slow down....

Can you enlighten me with some traffic rules reference etc....
