Samsung or Vizio > 60" & 3D?

I have always inclined to buy Samsung but interested with Vizio..... opinions?

Update:

Even with the M model that they released last year? I did see complaints several years ago but it has reduced...so... I thought things are getting better.

We do get bursts of complaints about "My Vizio TV just started having problems..." every few months. I cannot say the "M" series is better or worse.

I do know that Vizio is assembled from parts that change so frequently that the company does not even bother trying to repair them or supply parts to repair centers. Search google for "Vizo admits their televisions are un-repairable".

If this was a second-room TV, vizio might be a good choice. But if you want a TV for your main room, go with Samsung.

I have a 9 year old Samsung that wont die, a 4 year old used model I use for gaming in my "man corner" and a new 60" LCD/LED/Smart Hub that is the family's main TV.

Solid, if not outstanding, quality with Samsung.

Note: My daughter has been using the built-in smart hub for Netflix and last Feb review of just the smart hub said the picture from Netflix/Hulu is superior to the reviewers external Roku box. Turns out Samsung runs the streaming video through the internal up-conversion circuits which produce a smoother, better picture.

Why waste your money on a 3D HDTV. Keep in mind to be able to watch in 3D you will need the following: 3D HDTV, 3D blu ray disc player, 3D blu ray disc movie (at this time there are only around 135 titles available and they are mainly animated movies from disney) and ed glasses for each person. The viewing angle is also limited. The cost is also much higher than the standard blu ray. Due to the lack of software support, the technology has not been popular beside the higher cost. The manufacturer have reduced the model available in 3D. Panasonic is the top brand for qaulity and reliability followed by Samsung. If you read yahoo questions all the time, you will notice many issue with the Vizio brand. Hope this will help you out.
