i need answers not idiots answers?
im 23 and trying..... i had sex on the 20th june unprotected and im not on birth control. i got my period the day after the 21st june and it went for 3 days (if that matters at all) so that was about 3-4 weeks ago, in the last 5 days i have had cramps, sore nipples, leakage (if that makes sense like mucus) and fatigue, i know its not ovulation... could i be pregnant and getting symptoms even though i would only be about 3 weeks??? what are the chances i know i need to get a test but i was wonderin what everyone else would think?

The average couple has a 26% chence of getting pregnant every month. That percentage goes up some when you take into account your age. It was much easier to get pregnant at 25 than 31. However, although it's very unlikely to conceive right before your period as the luteal phase has to be 10 days at least in order to support a baby... it is possible. Some women do ovulate around their period so I would not rule that out. It may have not been your period and I'm guessing that you did not only have sex that day. Although very uncommon to have period like (bright red) blood and be pregnant it is possible. My mother did with me and even though she was passing out she didn't even think that it could be do to pregnancy lol. Yep, she was 4 months preggo with me before she found out! I really don't get that but it can happen.
IF your "period" was light or brown, light pink it could actually be spotting. That could be from sex or implantation. Just something to think about...
Sore nipples can be a PMS sign and it sounds like you could be due anytime so it could be AF on her way. Pregnancy signs are so psychosomatic (I know) so you can't really go by those alone. IF you mean leakage like from your nipples that is a hard one and could be an infection or early pregnancy sign. Some women do notice symptoms as soon as 7 dpo. However most of the time those are more like nausea, dizziness and things of that nature. Leaking nipples comes later. If you were 3 weeks you could test in about a week, it depends on how long your cycles are and how long your usual luteal phase (time between ovulation and period). Mine is long so I have to wait longer to test. OR you could always call the doc and have them order a blood test. They claim to be able to detect the trace amounts of hCG as soon as 7dpo.
Blessings:)

How long is your regular period? Was your last period like your normal ones? If you are pregnant, you cannot have your period, but sperm can linger around for up to 5 days; so, you may have conceived days after, allowing you to have your period, and then it stopping early because you the little egg was fertilized.
For future reference:
Well, you could take a pregnancy test 10-14 days after the risk and those results should be reliable.
Now, even if you are prego, it's not likely that your feeling the symptoms just yet, because most don't until about 6 weeks, but anything is possible, I suppose.
Sore nipples and cramps are also not all that uncommon before you get a period, but the chances of you getting pregnant without using protection are pretty high. So, you may or may not be.
Get a pregnancy test; you can get them almost anywhere ranging anywhere from $1-30. (Yes, some dollar trees sell them)
Good luck. :)

I'm the same age as you and know what you are going thru as far as trying. However, you missed your ovulation/ fertile window it seems. I thinkt hat what you are suffering from is severe PMS. You cannot have spontaneous ovulation. I'm not saying its not possible that you did get pregnant while on your period but it is difficult and your timing was not so good.
You ovulate somewhere btw 10-21 days of your cycle (you are on CD 24) but had unprotected sex before Day 1 of your current cycle, Cycle day 1 starts the first day of bleeding and heavy flow from your period. You have to have sex around your fertile time which is the 3-5 days leading up to ovulation and the 2 days after to have a decent chance. Sorry but I don't think you are pregnant either.
Not the answer that you probably wanted to hear but just keeping it real. In the meantime take a test to ease your mind. If it is a BFN your period is coming. If you're not convinced wait to see if you miss it and take it again.

The symptoms of pregnancy are so crazy. It is so vague that we can't tell. Just to make you laugh.... When I finally got pregnant, I was convinced that it was just constipation! Haha
Anyway, I am not sure if you had sex since the 21st.... I would say that you probably aren't pregnant if you haven't had sex since then but God does AMAZING things.
I am not sure why you are worried about everyone else. You can pick one up at Walgreen's and do it in the bathroom at work and no one knows (YES, I AM TALKING FROM EXPERIENCE)! :) It can be expensive to buy lots of test but if it makes you feel better, then go try. It is only money.
I know how much emotion goes into trying to conceive. I faced months of that and then fertility treatments. My heart goes out to you. Big hugs!
Hang in there and try to enjoy the intimacy. It really does help (I now have twins) and it helped my hubby feel more relaxed instead of "having to do it" for the purpose of conception.
God's best to you!

No. You had a period right after unprotected sex, so you're not pregnant. Depending on when your period is due, this could be ovulation, or it could be PMS. Ovulation is around 14 days before your next period is due, and you'd likely get fertile cervical mucus and cramping right before ovulation. Otherwise, I suspect that this is PMS symptoms, which are (unfortunately!) very similar to pregnancy symptoms.

youre probably not pregnant. most women ovulate about 10 or so days after they start their period. so if you got your period the next day, chances are you werent ovulating. your period is the lining of your uters being shed and the unfertilized egg goes with it. cramps and sore nipples may be a sign that your period is coming. the leakage that you refer to sounds like discharge and thats always present in a female. many times when you want to get pregnant or you think your pregnant you pay more attention to your body and normal pains and such seem like theyre signs of pregnancy. like i said before i doubt you are pregnant, i wouldnt waste money on a pregnancy test until you miss your period.

Actually, with my first pregnancy I felt a lot like that. It only lasted a few weeks (like 6) and then I got hit with the morning sickness. The morning sickness seemed to last 3 months. ick.
However, that being said, how do you know you are not ovulating? The symptoms are still similar.

You can def. have symptoms at 3 weeks. I found out when I was four weeks, and I felt the symptoms like a week and a half before i took the test. I think you could be, so you should take a test =) Good luck!

YES IT IS POSSIABLE TO FEEL SYMPTOMS THAT EARLY SOME DO SOONER THEN OTHERS. WELL LEAKAGE COULD BE OVULATION, BUT YOU SAY YOU KNOW ITS NOT,, THATS A SIGN,, EITHER YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT 7 TO 10 DAYS OF BEING LATE,, OR GO TO THE DOCTORS AND GET A BLOOD TEST DONE. THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE YOU ARE,, GOOD LUCK..

Anytime you have unprotected sex there is a chance of pregnancy. It sounds like you want a ratio or a percentage of the probability, but of course we can not provide you with that.
The best way to find out is of course, a home pregnancy test.
Good luck!
