I spotted in the first and second trimester. The Dr. said since it was brown, that meant it was old blood. He wasn't worried. I am now 37 1/2 weeks and he is healthy. I wouldn't worry unless you get a lot of cramping (a little is normal because of stretching) or pain or it gets heavy. Then call your Dr. asap!!! This is my 4th and I didn't spot with the other three, so it's just one of those weird things.

Sorry to say I have had 3 miscarriages and all of them beginning like that exactly. I have had 2 pregnancies both them I spotted but it was different because the spotting stopped and never lasted more than and hour.

I spotted two days when I was pregnant. I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy and our baby is healthy too. Mine was brownish red, but not real heavy compared with my normal period. Check with your doc, but I was fine. My doc said it was common and not a problem during the first trimester (mine happened during the first/second month).

I bleed for three days during my first pregnancy. It was brownish red & they told me it was implanation bleeding. But since your having clots you should contact your doctor. Good luck.

i did the same with this one and the baby is doing really good. they say its normal for some women to spot during the first trimester. But if you think you are bleeding to much or are worried go to your dr or talk to them just to make sure and calm your nerves. neither you or your baby need the stress. Good luck

I spotted, bright red, a bit at 8 weeks preggo. I went straight into the doctor's office and they did a vaginal ultrasound to check on baby. Everything was fine and they concluded that it was most likely the placenta attaching to the uterus.

I would go to the doc and check out your hcg levels.
