Can a PS2 cause discoloration on my TV screen?

My TV has developed some discoloration on the side of the screen. I did not notice when this started but I recently moved my Playstation 2 to the side of the TV, leaning directly against it. Is there a magnet or anything else in the PS2 that could cause this discoloration. It isn't a major discoloration, but it has been there for months now, any chance that it will go away if I move the PS2, assuming it is the culprit?

If you have an old tube type (CRT) tv, and projection CRT TV or plasma, yeah it can discolor, usually called 'burn in' dont' play video games with these sets, it's at your own rist. The old tube type are very resistant, but it can happen.

The only other thing that can cause this is a magent, usually from a nearby SPEAKER that isn't magnetically shielded, lots of them are not.

A magent from a hard drive could be the cause, I don' think the PS2 has one though.

i visit declare no. If, this the photograph tube or liquid crystal exhibit it must be a difficulty that worsen over the years. on the previous photograph tubes they talked approximately as a CRT and intensely cumbersome whilst in comparison with the thinner monitors that are liquid crystal exhibit. They use what talked approximately as colour weapons (3) one may well be going out or desire adjusted. oftentimes if it going out it particularly is going to commence out reliable and lose colour over the years because it have a warmth difficulty.
