    There is no such thing as a pill without a side effect.

    You should visit a dermatologist and get his advice on what will help your acne the most while impacting the rest of you the least.

    It's all about risk vs. reward.

    EDIT: Side effects from taking an antibiotic can include digestion issues and drug resistance.

    I was on acne medication all of my childhood and nothing ever worked. The only thing that did work was Proactiv believe it or not. All of the pills had no effect except as a placebo.

    Since my skin tends to be sensitive, I was considering pills myself. However, I recently discovered that the answer for me was not a pill at all. I have been using iQ Clear Remedy and the results have been amazing! You may want to consider it yourself.

    Well, I wouldn't recommend a pill, but Clearasil and Proactive are good brands that work really well!

    oxytetracycline - it's an antibiotic you can get from your dr. no side effects that i know of.
