3.5 weeks to go and pelvic area feels very 'heavy' in the evening?

For the past week or so I've noticed an increased feeling of pressure in the lower tummy area, which is normal. But in the evening, whether I am just sitting reading a boo, walking, or lying in bed, I feel a huge weight and stiffness in my pelvic area as well. When I am in bed, I can hardly move my body (I have a hard time getting to sleep, so I often toss and turn). Could it be related to dinner? (should I eat less? not that I am eating a lot, but perhaps I should 'graze' instead of having a meal in the evening?) I don't feel it when I wake up in the morning. Has anyone felt this or does anyone know what I can do about it?

I know when I was pregnant my doctor told me the heaviness in the pelvic region was just him moving positions. However, sometimes the baby can drop down into position so you may want your doctor to check & see if that isn't what is going on. The only food related things that I felt was heartburn all the time. Try lying with several pillows to your side for relief with sleep issues, that might help, it did with me because I was a stomach sleeper & couldn't get to sleep. Also, my son waited until I was in bed stretched out before he would move positions so this could be causing discomfort too.
