Another paint question??? Could anyone recommend a good brand name to me???

It's for the kitchen. Is there a brand that you have tried and really liked?? Or a type of finish that you really liked?? Satin etc. Thanks so much

I always pick a best answer.

Actually I'm a 37 year experienced painter and prefer Sherwin Williams... Here's a bug in your ear for you... If you are on a tight budget...Wal Mart sells a particular label of paint called"color place" that is actually made for them by Sherwin Williams..I prefer top line paint but have painted many A place with this "color Place" upon the customers request to use a budget paint for thier affordibility..I have personally painted a few friends [places with it..so I have had repeat visits and seen that the durability is great..one was done 6 years ago.... I prefer the satin finish in this label it touches up real good without "picture framing" on you and it IS scrubbable after cured...A gallon of Satin finish in this label(avaialble in any color you want) cost's about 13.00 a gallon verses paying 9 or 10 more per gallon..This is a great budget paint..

I second Behr paint from Home Depot. I've used it for years and have never had a problem. I also prefer satin or egg shell finishes. They have a slight reflective sheen so they are easier to clean than flat painted walls. However they aren't as shiny as semi-gloss and hi-gloss that are tackier and harder to apply and I only reserve for trim and cabinet use. General rule about finish: the flatter the paint the harder to clean but easier to apply likewise the shinier the paint the easier to clean but harder to apply. Good luck!

For my clients I recommend Benjamin Moore paint and in the kitchen i would go with the satin or semi-gloss finish, that way it's not overly shinny and tacky as the hi-gloss. Hope that helps!

Dunn Edward's its easy to work with when you touch-up

it blends in not like other paints. If you don't have a lot of light

in your kitchen you would what to go with high gloss. If you do have light coming in recommend Satin or reg. gloss.

I usually use Behr Premium paint from home depot. Behr Premium flow nice with roller, brushes and easy to apply. Depending on color most will apply with one coat but sometimes require two coats.

remember only behr premium...other lower end sux

be aware home depot staff is NOT very knowledgeable about paint.
