So, the Xbox 360 Pro comes with a network cable, and I have cable internet.
Do I just hook the network cable up to a phone jack, or what?

the cable you have needs to be hooked up to a router or directly to the modem itself if you don't have a router.
If you look at the end it might look like a phone jack but it's 2 times the size. This is also called an ethernet cable or a cat5,cat5e or cat6 cable.
