How come McCain is 'less' Republican than the Libertarian candidate, Bob Barr?

I can't vote for McCain and his facism. I can't vote for Obama and his welfare statism. So, I think I might have to vote for Bob Barr....I don't agree with everything he preaches, but I've come to realize I disagree with him less than the other candidates. I don't care if he ends up with 10% of the vote....I will not vote for the lesser evil of two parties.

I'll be voting for Bob Barr because I believe he is the only candidate that can represent my values as a republican. I am considering leaving the party as I'm seeing it become more controlled by special interest groups. Don't let people tell you not to vote for him because it'll help Obama. You need to vote in good conscience. Another thing that has helped me feel fine about voting Barr is that my state is pushing much more for McCain than Obama anyway so with or without my vote I believe he'll have my state's votes.

See, I'm in the same boat. I can't stand the government telling me what I can and can't do. At the same time, I can't stand them taking my money and giving it to people the mess up their lives or abuse the system. I'm a social liberal, and a fiscal conservative. That means I have to be a libertarian, but that party's backing is tiny compared to the big extreme parties.

I think I have to waste my vote this year though. It's not about who wins, because one vote really won't change that. It's more about getting the message across to the parties that people are tired of the same old hard left/hard right policies, and people want intelligent decisions made for the country.

I have nothing against the people that look at things differently, that's what makes the country great. However, I can't sacrifice my morals anymore to side with the 'lesser evil'. I'd rather lose and be confident in my vote than resent voting like I have before.

Bob Barr maximum heavily reflects the perspectives of the Founding Fathers and The shape. A vote for Barr is vote for liberty. Votes are not pre-ordained for the GOP and the DEMs. McCain supporters, prepare your guy helps liberty as a replace of attempting to scare me with Obama. What and who's conservative can exchange. The south (led by utilizing democrats) withdrew from the union because of the fact the Republican occasion became too liberal!!!

If you had looked at his past history you would know what has been ticking off the GOP about McCain. After he got caught in the Keating Five scandal he had to do a "makeover" to keep his seat. Arizonans are some serious righties but they prefer their Senator to have clean hands!

Many of the GOP thought McCain went much too far with his campaign finance reform, which is when he started the "maverick" business. He rarely votes against the party actually, since he has only crossed the line a couple times when the vote was not a sure GOP win.

He actually is quite a bit farther right than GWB...in his natural beliefs that he has held his whole life.

But good for you on voting your conscience! I hope I haven't changed your mind, though...

He is less "original" or "traditional" Republican because he believes in less government: both as a "welfare" state and as a "warfare" state. Good for you. If McCain loses: it is his own fault as well as the whole GOP. I can't see how a McCain presidency would be different or even an improvement over the present administration anyway. People act as if there really is a difference between the two parties, and there really isn't.

To say that McCain is "less republican" isn't exactly accurate. Among some conservatives, Barr is considered closer to the right than McCain because of some of his positions.

Bob Barr is only running on the Libertarian party so someone will accept him. I'm from his home state, we threw him out of office. You can have him.

The other guy is right, a vote for Bob Barr is just a vote for Obama. And is a vote you know will have no weight even worth casting?
