Ok, this is weird?

I have for a while lately been having this strange condition. Don't think it is anything I need to call a doctor about but I wondered if anyone on Yahoo Answers knows what it is. I drink water on a pretty regular basis, but lately when I go to bed I have this sudden urge to drink a lot of water and I have to drink 5 to 6 waterbottles full before it's over. It's messing with my sleepcycle, not to mention my bladder. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Update:

ok one thing I forgot to mention is that this is also happening to other people who live around me lately as well, which doesn't seem to point to diabetes if everyone has it at once, I think it is some sort of flu but I was wondering if anyone knew of a bug that could cause that

Excessive thirst is often a sign of diabetes. If you are having occasional blurred vision, tingling in fingers and/or toes, frequent urination, which you are of course having because of all the water intake, you need to be seen by a doctor, soon. You need to be seen by a doctor PERIOD.

You can mess up your electrolite level, your potassium level with too much water.

What kind of job do you do in the day? Are you working outside or somewhere else in extreme heat every day? That would dehydrate you quickly, also. Good luck getting better soon. Make an appoint ment THIS WEEK, please.

I'm no doctor. But excessive thirst is often a sign of diabetes. I assume you're not out drinking all night, because that would cause dehydration and excessive thirst as well.
