Should we keep troops in Iraq now that Maliki, the P.M. has said we should leave asap?

Update:

Pres. Bush has stated on more than one occasion that we would not stay in Iraq if the Iraqis asked us to leave.

Do you think he will keep his word, just as he did when he said that anyone in his Administration involved in outing a CIA agent would be fired?

Hey, you want to defy the duly elected Prime Minister of Iraq? Bush painted himself into a corner. Since he said we'd leave if asked, we're leaving.

Do the Iraqis have control over the entire country? Not even close.

The best solution is to leave the areas they control and leave the other areas as they gain control in those ones. Wow that really sounds a lot like what we are doing.

Maliki is playing the game. We aren't going anywhere.

They are working on this right at the moment and as it stands there will be some troops coming home but not them all.

You'd have the answers to this if you listened to the news.

And you think this is the first time Bush lied?

    Of course we shouldn't.

But the US has rarely paid attention to the wants/needs of other nations, we'll do what's most convenient for us.
