We are all social animals that have a need to, in some fashion , socialize with other people. We prefer people who we can find some degree of commonality. I am still in self-denial like several others that have provided answers before me. Me ? No, not me. Addicted ? I should say not. I do however see your aviator on this site pretty much most of the time. I am just a little suspicious and wonder if you might not be addicted. I am on here a lot but just to check on you .

I don't think I am. When I run my mouse over the Avatars and read the statistics of how long they've been members and how many points they've accumulated, I realize I just have a harmless vice. I guess we are here for the therapy to be gained. It's the "point" system that keeps it addictive, because the points have little or no value. Some "Top Answerers" have given me misleading or untrue answers, so the cure for your addiction is to sprinkle salt on the answers! It's not called "Ask The Experts"!

I come and go. When I first found Seniors, I really liked it and came in a lot. But after a while, some of the questions seemed sort of repetitive and so I dropped off a bit. But over all, this is a comfortable and informative and relaxing time spent. I don't think I'm addicted to it, but well....maybe I am. I think that this is the nicest interactive site around.

When I started to come on the "Seniors" trail. Every other category is either boring, rude, self righteous, or only informative. Here on Seniors you feel as though you really connect and belong to a more interesting group.

I love Jackie Blue's questions, Gladys' answers, and Shortstuf's sense of humor. I even appreciate mister ed.

You actually miss reading, or answering the questions and you definitely miss the people who do the same if you don't see their avatar for a while. You come on constantly just to check it all out. Even if it's 11:30 at night.

    Yes, I'm addicted!

This is a coincidence. I was telling a friend last night that Y/A is like a drug to me. None of my friends know what Y/A is, so I guess it is puzzling to them. Yes, I am addicted and will continue to be for now. I get some of the biggest laughs at least once a day from some of the answers.

    Edit:

It is now 15 hours since I answered this question. There are no new questions posted in this category since last night. I hope it wasn't something we said. Help!

Probably after getting a few Best Answers. I had new incent-

ive to answer and ask and vote for undecided answers. I now

find, I look with anticipation at the questions that have been

asked, prior to my having logged in. And I am curious also as

to who has asked them, to see if I recognize the avatars.

One thing I enjoy about YA is that I can learn from some of

the answers, just as I hope, someone can learn from one of

mine from time to time. If not in this category, than in one of

the others I frequent on occasion. I thought initially that YA

would be serving to fill gaps in my days. But it's gone much

farther than that. I look forward to the questions and ans-

wers now, and I can't wait to read my emails to get to the

questions at hand at YA. Yes, I'm addicted, and I wouldn't

    have it any other way!

Within just a few days..like it was an all consuming thing to get to level 2 so I could rate answers....it's wore off a *little*, but I'm answering this question right now & I should be studying!

I don't have any friends to speak of (not anti-social or a weirdo or anything, but we've moved around so much & I'm in school, not working) & no family other than husband, so this is a great way to "talk" a little bit each day, so a big thank you to all of you!

I am not addicted - unless you consider 1-2 hours a day on the Internet an addiction. CJ

Havent gotten quite that bad yet. Dont have withdrawal pains if I'm away from the computer for a day or two. Perhaps this might be a good time to start an online support group though.

When the start of the day was my breakfast in here rather than at the table. Gets my brain working before facing the day. Currently decorating the kitchen anyone want 38 dusty cookery books ( pages will come apart with steam) or 14 "lost" gooey tea spoons ?
