Hi, Moms, I was just wondering--?

What is your idea of a good breakfast for your kids?

Update:

I was just wondering if anyone actually cooked breakfast any more.

Home kitchens these days seem to be more like restaurants, this won't eat that, so fix them something else, that one doesn't like this, so they get this.

When I was a child, you ate what was put on the table, or waited for the next meal! My folks both worked & had no time or patience to run a resturant at mealtimes. I never went hungery!

Update 2:

Allie, you actually make crepes, yummy! Love them!

Update 3:

useyour__... : Nutragrain Bars? Ugh!

Update 4:

knicname: Sounds good to me.

Update 5:

brooke m: Haven't had cream of wheat in a long time. Used to love it.

Oatmeal w/ cinnamon & raisins is good too.

Update 6:

cheercoach: Your right, you want to give hubby a good breakfast, but there is a limit.

    a simple crepe would do...

    INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

    1 cup all-purpose flour

    2 eggs

    1/2 cup milk

    1/2 cup water

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    2 tablespoons butter, melted

    DIRECTIONS

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.

Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Serve hot.

crepe can be eaten with penut butter, jam, choc spread etc..for breakfast

Something that is healthy, that doesn't have a lot of fat or sugar. Like cheerios with bananas cut up in it. It has to be healthy, and breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

anything that firstly they like, so will eat, and secondly that will last them, so the sugery cereals are no good cos no wheatgerm left in them. If your willing something like eggs and toast with the bread being wholemeal, or even the same toast with nutella, long acting food which will give them energy through till lunch

Depends on your children and their preferences. My husband wants eggs, bacon, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. However, I told him to wake up, that I was not June Cleaver and he DEFINITELY was not Ward. My daughter loves cereal and biscuits and gravy though.
