Definitely the east coast. The people in the east tend to be more traditionalist minded and are much friendlier. I have to admit that the only state on the west coast that I've been to has been California. Although that is a beautiful state with many places to go and things to see, I have a hard time in accepting the people there because they all seem to have a hang-up on material possessions. Like keeping up with the Joneses, etc.
Example: about three years ago Californians were going through the Mercedes fad. Seems as if everyone, rich or poor, just had to have a Mercedes.
