Yeah I agree the Cubs. Watch a game, they have all those qualities. Of course you are not going to agree with me because your a Sox fan and I'm a Cubs fan, so....the rivalry continues.

Thats funny! LOL...The All Star Teams!

The Cubs do jump off the chart! They have stars representing for each criteria you mentioned.

My man hit it on the head with the descriptions of the Red, Sox, Angels, Phillies, N Mets

I like the Twins too, those where some good points, except for the pitching, I wouldnt consider their rotation dominating, effective yes, but not dominating

So the winner is the Cubs with all things considered!

Look out for the Braves if everybody can get heathly!

  • I'd say the Red Sox....their biggest weakness is getting from their great starters to their great closer, but the middle relief has been pretty good. I don't trust the cubs starters (zambrano has been hurt and incsistent at times), harden looks good but still is 0-1, dempster has been terrific but can he be expected to keep it up?, lilly is solid, and marquis has been a wreck. And their bullpen is unreliable, wood has been terrible (early) great (mostly) and shaky at different points this year...and FYI the White Sox have the best pen in the MLB (lowest ERA and most K's per 9 innings)....The cubs also still lack a real leadoff hitter.

    The AL All-Star Team?

I guess the closest MLB team would be the Cubs

**I'm serious... Every other team has a glaring weakness.

Yankees- Offense (some days), Starting Pitching (Nope), Bullpen (yes), Defense (yes, high Fielding percentage in the AL).

Red Sox- Offense (yep), Starters (yep), defense (pretty good), bullpen (horrible).

Angels- Starters (yep), Defense (yep), Relief (yep), Offense (terrible)

    Phillies- Everything but the pitching

Diamondbacks can't hit their way out of a paper bag

Mets dont have the starting pitching or relief

White Sox are ok with everything but no exceptional

    Twins are the same way.

Cubs have Zambrano, Harden, and Dempster (dominant)

Lee, Fukudome, Soriano (when healthy), Ramirez, Soto etc. (Exploding)

Wood and Marmol have been VERY good this year

Their defense has been solid as well

    Cubs

Cubs are the closest to the description.

Red Sox are up there, too.

Who are you going to say? White Sox?

White Sox starting pitching is not dominant and their defense is flat-out bad

You are obviously totally biased and not a pure baseball fan, and you can't admit that this team is the Cubs.

Well right now, I would say the TWINS.

    EXPLODING OFFENSE:

6 of the 9 starters are batting above .300 and Delmon Young is batting .297 as the 7th starter. So our lineup looks like this.

    1. CF: Carlos Gomez (.250 but with 21 sb)

    2. 2B: Alexi Casilla (.320 with 38 RBI in about 2 months)

    3. C: Joe Mauer (.323 with 44 rbi 6 hr...AL all star starter)

    4. 1B: Justin Morneau (.318 with 15 hr 73 rbi...hr derby champ!!)

    5. DH: Jason Kubel (.263 13 hr, 47rbi)

    6. LF: Delmon Young (.297 4 hr, 39 rbi, 11 sb)

    7. 3B: Brian Buscher (.330 21 rbi in about 2 months)

    8. SS: Nick Punto (.324 18 rbi)

    9. RF: Denard Span (.329 7 rbi)

    EXCEPTIONAL DEFENSE:

The twins have always taken pride in their defense. In my opinion the twins have top defensive players at catcher (Mauer and Redmond), First base (morneau), second base (casilla), shortstop (punto), outfield (span, gomez, and young). So basically everywhere. They twins are regularly on the top 10 plays on the highlight reels.

    DOMINATING STARTING PITCHING

Our pitching staff is young but has pitched great. But they get the job done.

    1. Livan Hernandez 10-6 5.69 era (era not impresive but 10 wins and he's been a leader to the young staff)

    2. Scott Baker 6-3 3.26 era ----- 27 yrs old

    3. Glen Perkins 7-2 3.84 era ---25 yrs old

    4. Nick Blackburn 7-6 3.83 era ---26 yrs old

    5. Kevin Slowey 6-6 4.26 era ---24 yrs old

...And remember we have Francisco Liriano down in AAA who has been pitching great like 7-1 with a 2.8 era or something.

    EFFECTIVE RELIEVERS:

The Twins have the most effective closer in the last three years in Joe Nathan...all star. Currently the Twins are 5th in saves in both leagues. The TWins have one of the best if not the best bull pen in the majors.
