Horizontal braids?

How does one get their hair like that--across the head horizontially? How long must hair be? Can the style be achieved with shoulder lenght hair? Or even some modified version?
It's a stunning hairstyle, so if anyone can help me, it'd be awesome.

Take it from a hairdresser, your hair must be long and thick! if not I suggest if you have a Sally's Beauty Supply where you live, check out their thin braids, or their pony tail add ons,you can braid the pony tails yourself, they are not expensive, and they have all colors that can match your shade, keep the picture you have displayed and if your hair is long enough to even make a small braid wrap it horizontally across the front of your hair, secure with bobby pins, and add the add ons the same way, it is not hard to do even if you are not handy with your hair! hope this helps, GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

all you really have to do is bread your hair facing the other way and wrap it around and the length of hair depends on how big your head is but you want it longer

i think youd have to have moderately long hair cause i have layered hair to about my shoulder and i cant do that.
