Cut and paste religion?

Doesn't answering every question with an endless stream of scripture passages deny your own capacity to think?

Is it just easier that way?

Haha, it surprises me how they all think that their book is always right and can answer any question. What they don't realize is that we're questioning the very premises that it's set on, and thus any mention of scripiture passages in the answer is void from proving their point.

Well although I think passages from the Bible are useful, I do think it helps to be able to explain what said passage means if you want to get your point across.

I beg to differ with people blaming me though,,,,, how very dare they I am flumuxed by the comments and shall cry now.

i'd say quantity 2, because they are continuously slicing and pasting quran verses to assert undesirable issues about muslims even as they should be focusing on their faith. and they are continuously slicing and pasting bible verses as well. even once you're literally not asking them some thing. i can not discover any hyperlinks top this 2d, yet they continuously do it or perhaps as someone tells them that they took some thing out of context then they get upset

I call them Holy CopyPasters. They are a sort of evolved version of the Bible Thumper.

EDIT: Erick: They aren't called sources if it is arbitrary copy/pasting. Also, they should explain why the passage is relevant. Every effective use of a source should be accompanied by an explanation of why it was included.

We use scripture because that is the proof of the truthfulness of our answers. Plus there are many who use their own ideas and pass it off as th Word of God.

People include passages so it can support the basis of what they are saying.

It's easier than having to come up with an answer to a challenging question. These are the same people who think the bible can answer every question ever asked.

Who needs to think for themselves when they can have a book do it for them?

Of course. Why would a theist make an effort to think?
