Any advice on becoming an Animal Care Specialist (68T)?
I'm thinking about joining the Army in a couple months. I've pick up an ASVAB book and some Vet Tech books to start studying now.
Do you have any advise?
What is the job like?
What was AIT like?
.....and anything else you'd like to add.
Thank You

I don't work in this field but have had friends working in it. It is a small field (promotions past E-4 may take a while), and Army is the only branch that has vets. Both food inspectors and Vet tech fall under the same category but you will be able to contact specifically for either one so pay attention to which one you pick.
The job may not always be open, so it may take a while to get it.

keep in mind MOS's like this are low call for from the army yet with a severe quantity of applicants. i might recommend attempting to discover yet another MOS or 2 you're involved in besides.
