Well very much depends where you want to go, if you try to live in a poor neighborhood, a middle class place or the wealthy style, there is a lot of differences between those.

Mexico is a place of big contrast.

As for prices also depends on the city you choose for example a descent apartment in Mexico city with 70 sqr mts (like 219 sqr feet) will cost you from 600usd mthly and up. in a poor neigborhood will cost you like 200 usd, and in a slum you can find a room fron 50 usd a month. Also in the expensive range you will find houses that rent up to 5000 monthly or aparments in Polanco for 2000 usd.

A meal in a simple place 3.5 usd

Public bus ride from 20 usd cents to 50 cents depending on the distance.

    subway.- 20 usd cents

A taxi ride minimum fare 2. usd

    a beer in a cool bar 5- 10 usd

    A movie ticket 4.7 usd,

    A soda from a machine 50 cents

Here in Chihuahua City Housing is cheap compare with the big City. You can rent a descent house for 500 usd, an aparment ( not very common in this city) can go for 300 usd and a mansion can cost you 1500 usd monthly.

A meal in a simple place 5 usd,

    Public bus ride 50 cents.

A taxi ride minimum fare 4. usd

a beer in a cool bar 3 usd

    A movie ticket 4.7 usd,

    A soda from a machine 50 cents.

Cloths are more expensive than in USA in all Mexico, electronics are about 20-30 % higher, cars due to taxing are also like 10 to 20 % more expensive than in the USA except for the models made in Mexico...car parts are sometimes 50% higher if you ride and imported car....electricity is more expensive, gasoline right now is lot cheaper but is a little more expensive than the USA most of the time.

Hi! In the sense that you absolutely need it, your Guinea Pig will die without it, yes and no. It's been scientifically proven that a guinea pig without a cagemate will A) Be more depressed, B) Possibly more aggressive, C) Life shorter. It's true, having a cagemate in there will release the feel-good hormone in the brain, which helps humans and other animals to live longer by a few weeks. I'm more interested in why you don't know this... This will get downrated from here, and I don't especially care, since people never seem to know these things. They shouldn't sell the guinea pig to you if you're only getting one, it's pretty cruel to the animal. No matter how loving your children are, they can't replace a cagemate. Besides, three minutes worth of searching on the internet could have found you this. Next time, do your research on an animal before you get them. Another thing, if you can't afford another guinea pig, how exactly are you paying for veterinarian bills? Good luck Ryan.

Mexico is a cheap place to live if you have a good job or have save up a lot. houses can be anywhere from $100 and up. my friend is going to school over there and he is paying $150 a month for a luxury apartment. sounds good huh? but the catch is that he has a full time job and only makes $70 dollars a week. prices may be alot cheaper over there but its very hard to find a well paying job. food is the same as over here in the USA.

Hmm, once again information about Mexico is flawed. There are scary places in Mexico, but it is much safer than the US of A. Tourists that get in to trouble here seem to be looking for it.

Dress conservatively , be polite and stay out of rough areas late at night.
