what is it about a crotch rocket motorcycle?

that makes a lot of the riders think they don't have to follow the same rules as the rest of traffic. driving on the shoulder, zipping in and out between cars.

Update:

some see considerate and safety conscious, but others are nuts. when there are wrecks it is hard to feel sorry for those who brought it on themselves.

I wonder the same thing. I think they have a death wish. I have a 03 CBR 600RR but I am very careful on it.

Those things are the MARK OF A SQUID, they see racers do things on TV and then feel that if they have a GSXR they can do it also. We need licensing in this country like they do in others and a person can not just go out and get on a big

make believe race bike but have to work up to it. In some countries even a GP rider would have a hard time passing the license procedure.

Anybody who rides a motorcycle on the street, has to be a little nuts. But what I have seen lately is INSANE! I passed between cars on my bike, which is legal, but I would NEVER drive the shoulder. That's just stupid!

Just the fact that they are a high performance machine originally designed for racing. The only difference between the guys who drive them for racing and the ones who drive for personal reasons is that professionals keep their head up, and the street drivers keep their heads up their @$$.
