Hm...I'm pretty sure she had already told him her answer was yes at that point? I think her acceptance of the proposal was one of the first things she says...

My guess is that she was going to accept his marriage proposal as she said in the not she left with Alfread for Bruce. That would make the most sense dramatically.

Oh idk, that is a great question.
Maybe we will find out in the next movie....she might just be alive !
