What can I do to stop tangles in my daughters hair??? it gets kinda bad?

No matter what I do her hair is always so tangly. She has fine hair that is just impossible to work with and it gets this weird feeling to it like it's fake or something.. I have tried detangler shampoo, conditioners, shampoo/conditioner in one. But as soon as i wash it, it just bunches right up and is a pain(literally) to get out. It does the same after conditioning it too. There has to be something that I can use, and i don't want to hear something stupid like mayo or peanut butter either. I really don't want to cut her hair but it is getting closer to reality if I can't find something.

Update:

ok first she is 7 if that helps. And her hair tangles right up as soon as the water hits it. It is about 4 inches down past her shoulders. I do put her hair up in a ponytail pretty much everyday to keep it from getting so tangled. but literally I can brush her hair and by the time the detangler spray dries it starts right up. The brush i use is more like a comb than a normal brush. a normal brush doesn't really do anything for it. As far as braiding( and don't laugh) I have a hard time with it. Her hairdresser has given me a few lessons

Update 2:

but my hands just don't work that way lol.

The shampoo/conditioners are usually kind of crappy and don't do a good job of either cleaning the hair or conditioning it.

I would buy a really good brand of shampoo like Matrix and wash her hair before she washes anything else. Put again a super good conditioner on her hair and let her finish bathing everything else. Leave the conditioner on it for at least 5 minutes before rinsing.

She might need a good hair cut too possibly with layers to keep the tangles down. Too much of one length of hair can be a problem.

Also leave in conditioners can help too. She probably shouldn't be using 'kid' stuff because her hair is different.

I'd use a separate shampoo and conditioner designed for fine hair (I'm sure Loreal or Johnson & Johnson has some for kids). Then use a leave-in conditioner on the hair starting at the base of the neck. Also, right when you are done washing her hair, gently towel dry it, and then use a wide-toothed comb with some spray detangler to brush it. Good luck.

It's not lack of combing, some hair is just that way. As other people here said, make sure she uses a good conditioner. My hair gets easily tangled too, i have been usind vo5 detangle! & shine, leave in conditioner, and it has worked great. My hair tangles a LOT less. I got it at the local target. Hope this helps!

There's this shampoo for detangling, called Loreal, it works really great. And if it gets in the eyes, it doesn't hurt. It smells great and leaves hair really nice. You shouldn't use shampoo/conditioner because it doesn't really work. Try using the brand that I listed, it should really help.

We use the johnson and johnson brand detangler and while its wet we put it up in a ponytail or braids. Helps alot with the tangles.

Hmmm..I sort of have the same problem. It's getting better cause I use conditioner two times...one time when I'm in the shower and one when I comb my hair.
