I have recently started recieving batches of similar spams how do I stop them?

All of them look similar and they come in regular batches. They also look personal because each has the senders name on it. They are all going to my spam box. I tried to unsubscribe to one but It didn't work. Is it best just to delete them?

You obviously visited a website that grabbed your info from third party cookies. This happens with spy ware and/or adware. You can go to your mail and at the right you will see a dialog for options then click on it. In the list choose blocked users and then enter them in the block list. Be sure to save your work. Afterwords, you need to clean up your windows by clicking on tools/Internet options/delete and delete all. This will clean out any and all of your cookies and temp files so before doing so, if there is anything that you have stored in a temp folder that might be important you will want to create a new folder, name it, and then move it to that folder. Then do a disk clean up. This will not get rid of any spam but it will keep your computer up to date. Always remember before you go surfing the net you need to have firewalls in place and spyware set to on so these third parties can't get your e-mail address.

Once they have your e-mail address forget it. Don't try to unsubscribe that just let's them know they reached a valid e-mail address. You can block the addresses but they will just keep changing addresses. There are ways to limit spam e-mail but you have to be very computer savy and know what you are doing. There are web sites that tell you how but I could never understand them. Maybe you can. Best just to delete them like most of us have to do. Don't open them you could get a virus or spyware.

Get gmail instead...pretty much no spam! And the spam you do get goes to the spam folder...it's got a great spam sorter.

Go to your filter box and have your email filtered. You have to be word conscious when you do this, so make a list. Sometimes, nothing helps the scam population.
