According to Kelly blue book the amount is roughly spot on. it has low miles for the year. Take a look at kbb.com. You didn't mention the engine option or any other options the car has. It makes a difference in value.

I would stay away from it. It's known for having electrical problems with break lights and heating and defrost issues. The convertibles also have issues with incompetent clamps and leakage. I had the '03 model and kept it less than a year because it was clear that VW didn't care to properly fix the issues after numerous return visits to the dealer. If they were still issues in '03 I can only expect they were worse in '02. Save your money and buy a more reliable vehicle.

holy **** does it run on water ,..........way to much !!!!!! i dont know where you live but around here iyou could pick one up for 5 or 6 grand
