Why has it become so easy to harbor anti-American sentiments?

Could it be because an OVERWHELMING percentage of elected and appointed officials in the US government haven't ANY respect for --let alone honor their SWORN allegiance to-- the Constitution of the United States? The rogue government in the District of Columbia is the ULTIMATE form of disgrace and DISHONOR to the memory and name of His Excellency, the Most Honorable George Washington.

    Well, in less generalized terms:

1.) It is NOT okay to torture people.

2.) Tax breaks for the rich don't work. Tax breaks for the middle class and downward do.

3.) Government should represent, not dictate.

4.) It'd be nice to have a leader a little bit smarter than Dubya.

Well, you've answered your own question, and are therefore unlikely to be open to differing opinions. However, I'd have to say, that in the main, I agree with you. On the other hand, there is a long history of the rest world both envying and hating whoever happens to be top dog at the moment. Ask a 16th century Vietnamese what they thought of the Chinese at the time. Ask a 2nd century Goth what they thought of Romans. Ask someone from 19th century India what they thought of the British.
