I'm prepared to defend the Constitution against radical ANYBODY that threatens it. I kind of swore an oath to do just that. I don't care if it's fundamentalist Christianity, militant atheism, fanatical Islam, rabid conservatism, or out of control liberalism. The principles of freedom that the Constitution represent, whether or not they're always observed as they should be, are too important to be hijacked by any dogmatic ideal to the detriment of those that choose not to follow that philosophy. People have a right to live according to their conscience, and to pursue a life that makes them happy and fulfilled, as long as it causes no harm to others. And I'm prepared to bleed to ensure they're guaranteed that freedom.

We need activism, not slacktivism. Activism requires the acceptance of the risk of real personal pain and misfortune. Slacktivism just makes you feel good but doesn't really solve the problem. Activism shouldn't make you feel good while you're doing it.
So stay informed and the next time religious bigots try to use government to take away rights or teach fairy tales in science class, SHOW UP and testify your displeasure. Even if this means taking a day off from work, death threats or public ridicule.

I hope so. As a Brit, I admire the constitution as a foundation for a secular and equitable state., guaranteeing freedom of religion and therefore freedom from religion. The founding fathers must be spinning in their collective graves!

So, you believe that some people have rights based on the constitution, while others do not? What kind of hypocrisy is THAT? Besides, you're tearing down straw men! Besides, you're doing a lousy job of it! When you make up lies about others just to destroy the alleged argument you just made up, it only reflects on YOU! Have you never heard the saying, "It's better to be thought of as a fool, then to open one's mouth and remove all doubts" ? It's too late THIS time, but next time, perhaps you can ask a legitimate question instead of false accusations!
