Killing household negativity...?
In general, I am a positive person...but my house feels like there is a disproportionate amount of negative energy in the house...it is an older house...was a rental at one time...has had many different occupants (from what my neighbor tells me, he's been there for years)
I am aware of sage smudging, removal of negative things, and addition of positive things to the house, but my question is on the different methodologies to make the "treatment" more effective...
What do you suggest?
Actually...i've been in this house for about 8 years...and I like the house...but something just doesn't feel right...
Telemachus...there's no need to call me names...I was asking what I felt was a question that I may be able to get some decent answers on approaches I haven't tried yet

Have u tried finding out if their is a negative spiritual energy in ur house? If their is in fact a spiritual being in ur house that is negative, it can def affect your home and the people in it. I would find out if in fact their is one in ur house and then perform the proper steps to make it leave.

Maybe the aesthetics of the house do not appeal to you - room size, ceiling height, the lines, the colors, the lighting, they all play a part. Sometimes, the subconscious can misinterpret an environment that is old or unattractive as something else. You're already indicating that the environment needs to be changed (taking negative things out, bringing positive things in). You know that something is disturbing you and conclude that it is something supernatural, but I doubt it. I suggest renovating. Every time I moved into an older or run-down place, I used to think it was "haunted". That never happened with bright, beautiful, modern places, so I eventually figured out that the old places weren't haunted, they were just ugly and that was what had bothered me.
Also, moving into a new place is always a bit rough because you don't feel "at home" - it would be natural to feel that, since the place doesn't feel like yours, it's someone else's!

Redecorate.
Paint dark rooms in bright, happy colors.
Wash the windows.
Put up new curtains.
Get new furniture, or cover the old stuff.
Buy some new dishes.
Toss the old knick knacks (unless they are family heirlooms), and get some new, whimsical ornaments.
OH, and plant some flowers.
Lots and lots of flowers....

Go out into the poorer districts where you live & talk to some homeless people, get their take on house negativity. Once you've done that, go home to your four walls and a roof, return happy to your dry & warm enviroment & realise you're being a snivveling, self obsessed pr*k.

I think you don't like your house. Why'd you take it, then?

Just move. LOL!
It's your imagination.

Incense will help.
Edit: Ok, replace 'will' with 'might'.
