Ok another questions any help from anyone would be great.?
Ok last night i asked this question...
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoDpY...
So to update on it. This morning the child woke the family up in a startling way. They have a new born son. He is almost a month old. The child climbed in the bassinet and sat on top of the baby. On babies chest. The family has called dhs and the psychiatrist waiting on calls back. They are scared for the youngest child's safety. Seriously has anyone gone through this what would you do? There is no evidence she was trying to hurt him. But she does know that she should not sit on him or even crawl into the bassinet. And when asked nicely why she did it. She just starred blankly like she had no clue on what she did. She did not show any remorse at all. Please help!
Child was diagnosed with adhd and odd like stated on other question.

okay, first off, if treatments are not working, has no one considered that the diagnosis might be wrong?
my daughter was diagnosed with tourette's AND adhd AND ocd AND a sleep disorder (somnambulism and zombie syndrome, what i call it, where she acts and talks and behaves as if she's awake but nothing makes sense because her conscious mind is still offline) AND anorexia syndrome (all the symptoms but not the body dysmorphia). none of the meds worked - they just kept piling med on top of med until i flushed everything downt he toilet because the side effects and interactions were worse than the conditions.
when she was 20yrs old, she saw a military doctor. on my advice, she said nothign about past medical history. his diagnosis? she has asperger's syndrome - and yes, it fits WAY better than all that other stuff.
that child sounds autistic, not bipolar.

Its not very common but there is a disorder called something like defiance disorder or something that causes a child to purposely act out and do the opposite of what they know to be right...i hope that they get the help that they need it must be nerve wracking to have to worry about the younger childs safety while worrying about the mental well being of the older child.
Edited when i noticed your other question stated she had been diagnosed with ODD....
Im not too sure what you could do other than take advantage of every resource out there....Good luck and best wishes
I had a friend a while back whose daughter also had this disorder who was now in her teens and from what her mother told me it was very hard to deal with simply due to the fact that they know they are doing the wrong thing but dont have the ability to question their own actions....

Why people are saying Autistic ..i have NO idea at all.. My son has autism and never bothers with anyone or would touch a baby let alone climb into the crib and Thomas has severe autism, could it be an attention seeking attempt, is she jealous of the baby, is she having enough attention from everyone, its tough on a child when a new baby arrives i just hope they are able to help,

As an adult, I have tentatively diagnosed myself with a mild form of autism (professional testing pending). When I read the description of how the older child was reacting (or not reacting, as the case may be) my first thought was "autism". Not saying that is the answer, but sounds like something worth looking into.

i'm torn between 3 of my favourites :~ 'Voodoo baby (uncomplicated return)' 'All alongside the Watchtower' 'The Wind Cries Mary' and his overall performance of 'The enormous call Spangled Banner' Lori S : There are *2* songs. the unique long Blues piece referred to as 'Voodoo Chile', and the greater properly-typical 'Voodoo baby (uncomplicated return)' {that's generally mis-titled as 'Chile'}.
