I don't see why anybody is surprised. This mess has been in the making for years now. People had to know that the Packers would eventually tire of Favre's annual "I don't know if I will play" drama. I just hope that we don't see this same crap in the future when people like Manning and Brady start thinking about retirement. Hopefully they wait until they are sure to make a decision and hopefully they keep their decision making process out of the media.

Current rumor is he will be traded to another team in the NFC North. If the rumors are true only 2 teams I can see Vikings or Bears. I don't think I could stand seeing Favre in a Bears uniform. Hate those cheeseheads.

Hopefully he will just retire like he should have years ago.

look this occurs to each great participant interior the NFL. he's made his call as a Packer, and should not positioned on yet another team's jersey. With that being reported, he could desire to soak up playing backup or call it quits for solid. maximum individuals do not be attentive to that Joe Montana spent his final 2 seasons with the Kansas city Chiefs... generally simply by fact he sucked on an identical time as he grow to be there. Brett Farve could desire to look at that and say 'no thank you' And popping out of retirement is a great mistake. here is what happens: for the time of the season, he's getting his *** kicked around on a daily basis (come on, that's soccer, that's tough in spite of your legend prestige). He performs properly, yet gets banged up, performs injury, he's ageing and staying sore greater desirable than feeling sparkling. The season ends and that's it, he merely won't be able to muster adequate to maintain going. Then all at once, he's had an incredible 3 month relax and he wakes up feeling solid and says, "wait a minute, i think nice, i will truthfully play soccer returned." Season roles around and he's right back the place he grow to be on the tip of the final season, desiring rather badly to quit consistently. My advice to Fav-ray, %. up your golfing activity and circulate spend some summer season days on the coastline. My wager is he won't get it ideal and finally end up playing for a bad team, get injury, then bombarded with grievance. What the thank you to end an surprising profession.

I think it will end like Barry Sanders with the Lions,

He will want to play, but they won't get rid of him so He'll just stay retired, as Barry Sanders wanted but they wouldn't trade or release him so he retired.

I think he is going to stay in Green Bay and win the starting QB role.
